She was a two-year letterwinner on the Royals women’s soccer team. The 5’4 midfielder played in 24 games over her career in- cluding 15 starts as a true freshman during the 2008 season and totaled five points in her career (1 goal and 2 assists). Her first career goal was scored last season versus Johnson & Wales.

Hill was a devout leader during her years at Pasco High School. The Dade City, Fla. native was 3-time team captain for the girls soccer team. She was named the school’s Most Outstanding Senior for the 2007-08 academic year and was a member of the school’s National Honor Society. Hill was the recipient of the Aaron William Guynn Memorial Scholarship presented by the Pasco County Education Foundation.

During her junior year campaign, the St. Petersburg Times honored her by naming her a Model Athlete and placing her on the First Team All-County Team.

12 2010 WARNER WOMEN’S SOCCER GUIDE Warner Women’s Soccer • Head Coach Nelson Ramirez When Nelson Ramirez took over the women’s program after spending time as an assistant coach, he inherited a team that went 5-10 and winless in conference play. However, in his first season as head coach he was able to get the team on the right track, leading the team to a respectable 7-8 regular season with a program history best 4-5 conference record, including back-to-back conference wins to close out the season. Now entering his second season at the helm, Ramirez will look to continue the Royals late season success.

Prior to taking over the reigns of the women’s program, Ramirez had been an assistant coach for the men and women’s soccer teams for the past two years, help- ing the men’s team to a regular season co-conference championship in 2008.

The Colombian native has over 15 years of coaching experience in Colombia and in the United States. He served as the head coach for the women’s soccer team at Universidad Militar Nueva Granada in Bogota, Co- lombia from 2005-2007 and as the head coach for the men and women’s team at Universidad Javeriana, where he was also a professor. As an assistant coach, he helped to coach his team to win the under-15 National Cham- pionships in the League of Soccer of Bogota.

He currently is an assistant coach at Bartow High School and Head Coach of the under nine team for the Orlando Stars Soccer Academy. Ramirez also has 16 years of playing experience in Colombia.

The Royals opened their season on the road and found themselves with an early 0-2 record after losing to William Carey (Miss.) and Mobile (Ala.). But the Royals showed that all was not lost, winning three out of their next four matches including their season opener versus Shorter Col- lege (Ga.)

Warner entered conference play 3-3 but found themselves below .500 again after a narrow 4-3 loss to Conference Tournament Champions Embry-Riddle and a 6-0 loss to SCAD. They were able to claim their first conference win in three seasons with a 13-0 drubbing of Johnson & Wales. Goals leader Danielle Chapuseaux corralled her first collegiate hat trick to help the Royals earn the victory. The Royals suffered a 3-0 loss to peren- nial power Northwood and another one-goal loss to in-county rival South- eastern 2-1 before gaining their second conference win over Ave Maria 5-1.

The Royals would suffer their third one-goal loss in conference ac- tion and fourth overall to cross-town rival Webber International 2-1 before they were able to turn things around at the end of the season and win their own one-goal matches. Warner closed out the season by defeating Florida Memorial 1-0 and earning their first win ever over St. Thomas 2-1 thanks to a two-goal match from 2008 All-Conference forward Tara Fadenrecht.
