There will be many stops for guests to disembark and experience each neighbourhood. See what everyone is talking about. Experience Toronto’s safe and clean city on this full day excursion. Some of the neighbourhoods that may be included in the tour are: The trendy neighbourhood known as the Beaches. A twisting road past large, beautiful homes will take you right down to Lake Ontario and Toronto’s famous boardwalk. The Danforth, to the area known by its residents as Greektown. This area is filled with lively Greek restaurants and shops and is enjoyed by thousands who stroll its sidewalks sampling the cuisine and music of this lively culture. The Distillery District is the new ‘hot and trendy’ arts, culture and entertainment area. Built from 1859-61, The Gooderham & Worts Distillery is an outstanding example of Victorian Industrial design. There will be time to browse all the shops, galleries and cafes that line the brick streets. Little Portugal. Little Portugal is located in the downtown west end of Toronto. In this neighbourhood, Portuguese immigrants have created an institutionally complete community that is also one of the most visible ethnic neighbourhoods in Toronto. This neighbourhood today contains most of the community’s social, cultural, commercial, and religious institutions. Cabbagetown, an area named because the early inhabitants actually grew cabbages in their front gardens! You will enjoy the unbroken streetscapes of attractive 19th century houses, tall budding trees and the atmosphere of real neighbourhoods in the heart of a large metropolis. Yorkville and Forest Hill, where the elite live and shop. Drive along to one of Toronto’s original streets, Spadina Road. Now known as the Fashion “rag trade” District, this area is home to many clothing discount stores.
