The Summer Village of Silver Beach Municipal Bylaws Bylaw No. 120 A BYLAW OF THE SUMMER VILLAGE OF SILVER BEACH, IN THE PROVINCE OF ALBERTA, TO PROVIDE FOR THE ENTERING INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH THE SUMMER VILLAGES OF ARGENTIA BEACH, CRYSTAL SPRINGS, GRANDVIEW, ITASKA BEACH, MA-ME-O BEACH, POPLAR BAY, SUNDANCE BEACH AND THE COUNTY OF LEDUC NO. 25 TO PROVIDE FOR THE PURCHASE OF EMERGENCY MEDICAL AID EQUIPMENT TO BE USED BY THE PIGEON LAKE POLICE WHEREAS Sections 113 and 115 of the Municipal Government Act, Chapter M-26, R.S.A. 1980 and amendments thereto provides that a council may pass a bylaw authorizing the making of an agreement with the council of any other municipality for the performance of any matter of thing considered by all councils to be a benefit to their municipalities; and WHEREAS all councils agree that there is a need to provide for certain emergency aid to residents of their respective municipalities in and around the Pigeon Lake area; and WHEREAS 313306 Alberta Limited (hereinafter referred to as “the Pigeon Lake Police”) is presently under contract to provide policing and bylaw enforcement services to the Summer Villages of Argentia Bay, Crystal Springs, Grandview, Itaska Beach, Ma-Me-O Beach, Poplar Bay, Silver Beach, Sundance Beach and the County of Leduc No. 25 (hereinafter referred to as “the participating municipalities”); and WHEREAS the Pigeon Lake Police is willing to provide certain emergency medical aid; NOW THEREFORE by virtue of he powers vested in it, the Council of the Summer Village of Silver Beach, in the Province of Alberta, duly assembled, enacts as follows: That the Summer Village of Silver Beach enter into an Agreement hereto attached as Exhibit “A” with the participating municipalities and the Pigeon Lake Police to provide for the purchase of two respirator units to be jointly owned, controlled and maintained by the participating municipalities and operated by the Pigeon Lake Police; and That the Mayor and Municipal Administrator be authorized to sign the agreement attached hereto as Exhibit “A”.
