Hometown boy Ethan Strong is in his second year playing for the Kirkland Lake Goldminers of the Northern Ontario Jun- ior Hockey League. It is Tier II Junior A hockey (on par with the Lindsay Muskies). His team won the league championship this year & represented the NOJHL at the Dudley Hewitt Cup held recently in Wellington, ON. Had they moved on, he would have been playing for the RBC Cup which takes place in Vernon BC. Ethan has one year left of Jr A eligibility & hopes to attend an NCAA College in 2015 - 2016.
