Khan welcomed all members & requested to proceed on Agenda. 1.0 The following amendments were suggested by the Hon‟ble Members : Dr. Sanjay Ranade’s name is to be included in Leave of Absence’ list. It is resolved to approve the Minutes of the Academic Council Meeting dated 28th February, 2016 with above said amendments. 3 University of Mumbai AC- 2/2017 ( 11th May, 2017 ) 2.1 It is resolvedthat,the recommendations made by Ad-hoc Board of Studies in Danceat its meeting held on 14th February, 2017 be accepted& that in accordance therewith theRevised Ordinance & Regulation for approval of Bachelor of Performing Arts (BPA) (Dance) from academic year 2017-18 & same be recommended to the Management Council. 2.2 It is resolvedthat,the recommendations made by Ad-hoc Board of Studies in Danceat its meeting held on 14th February, 2017 be accepted& that in accordance therewith theRevised Ordinance & Regulation for approval of Master of Performing Arts (MPA) (Dance) from academic year 2017-18 & same be recommended to the Management Council. 2.3 It is resolvedthat,the recommendations made by Boardof Studies in Physical Educationat its meeting held on 5th May, 2017, 2017 be accepted & that in accordance therewith theAmendment of Regulations 8673 relating to M.P.Ed. Program from academic year 2017-18 & same be recommended to the Management Council. 3.1 It is resolved that, the Director, Veermata Jijabai Technological Institute, Matunga, Mumbai the proposal of Extension of Academic Autonomy be accepted& in accordance therewith the Hon‟ble Vice – Chancellor be authorized to constitute the Local Inquiry Committee regarding Academic Autonomy to Veermata Jijabai Technological Institute, Matunga, Mumbai be accepted& that in accordance therewith, the Veermata Jijabai Technological Institute, Matunga, Mumbai from the academic year 2016-17 4 University of Mumbai AC- 2/2017 ( 11th May, 2017 ) 3.2 It is resolved that, the report of the Local Inquiry Committee of toShri. Also the concerned college will participate in the examinations related work and the teachers will involve in the Central Assessment Scheme of the University in both halves of the examinations. 6 University of Mumbai AC- 2/2017 ( 11th May, 2017 ) 3.8 It is resolved that, Action taken by the Vice-Chancellor under Section 14(7) of the Maharashtra Universities Act, 1994 be accepted.
