Glarus, another canton in Eastern Switzerland, has been involved since 2018 and also serves as the exhibition venue for the first time this year. In 2021, exhibitions will be held at Kunsthaus Glarus, Kunstmuseum St.Gallen, Kunst Halle Sankt Gallen, Kunsthalle Appenzell and Kunstraum Dornbirn. Effective this year, the exhibitions will be organized by the institutional curators without the input of an external jury. Curated by Otto Bonnen, curatorial assistant Kunsthaus Glarus Fokus Prize Karin Reichmuth December 12, 2021–January 30, 2022 Opening: Saturday, December 11, 2021 The Fokus Prize 2020 goes to Karin Reichmuth (b. 1979 in Goldingen, lives and works in Ennenda (CH) and Carrara (IT)). With the award, the jury acknowledges the artist’s technical sophistication of her stone carvings, which she creates from various types of stone such as basalt, Cristallino and Carrara marble. Every two years, the Glarner Kunstverein awards a position from the unjuried Kunstschaffen exhibition with the Fokus Prize. The prize winner is given the opportunity to present his or her work in a solo exhibition the following year.
