Starting in Milan we will spend three unforgettable days driving an incredible Ferrari line-up through some of Italy’s best driving routes. First the convoy will head north and conquer what is probably the most romanticised and well-documented driving road in the world – Stelvio Pass. The Stelvio zigzags its way up the Italian Alps in Parco Nazionale dello Stelvio and is the highest paved mountain pass in the world! With 60 hairpins overlooking a spectacular landscape, this road is a ‘must do’ for anyone who lives and breathes the thrill of driving! From here we will take sections of the renowned Dolomite Road south towards the sparkling Mediterranean, then continue on to the home of Ferrari – Maranello. Our route will also allow you to experience and enjoy Italy’s spectacularly dramatic and diverse scenery. From emotive alpine roads with rugged, craggy cliffs, sharp hairpins, and limestone walls, to the lazy winds and bends of the Mediterranean coastal drive, and the rolling hills, medieval towers and vineyards that define Italy, this drive will undoubtedly challenge any avid Ferrari fan while stealing your breath away! Once we arrive in Maranello/Modena we will give the Ferraris (and ourselves) a rest, before heading to the Museo Ferrari to experience the passion, innovation and technology used to create these iconic cars. We will also visit the architectural masterpiece that is the recently completed Enzo Ferrari Museum; a Museum that celebrates the life and work of the Grand Master himself! Along the Tour we will stay in five and four star historic chateaus and converted castles. To cap off each day we will also spend our evenings dining in award-winning restaurants where, over a gourmet dinner and local wine, we can compare stories and enjoy the stunning panoramas of our privileged locales. Tour Summary Day 1: Arrive and settle in; welcome dinner and drinks Day 2: Milan to Merano drive: 340km; 7.5 hours Day 3: Merano to Vittorio drive: 360km; 8.5 hours Day 4: Vittorio to Maranello/Modena drive: 320km; 6.5 hours Day 5: Museo Ferrari and Enzo Ferrari Museum THE FERRARIS 458 ITALIA SPIDER What more is there to say about this stunning car? Just about every motoring publication on the planet has placarded this car with awards, with some saying it is the world’s greatest Supercar, and we can tell you it is everything to drive that they say. The car was first released in 2009 but hasn’t aged a day. Power comes from a 4.5L V8 producing nearly 600 HP, and acceleration 0-100 is achieved in around 3.4 seconds. F12 BERLINETTA The F12 is the fastest, wildest and most powerful road-going Ferrari ever built! Boasting a V12 and 730 HP, the F12 will smash the 0-100 time in 3.1 seconds and has an astonishing top speed of 340 kms per hour. The 599’s replacement is also a stunning looking car that has already won various design awards. We simply cannot wait to experience this incredible beast on the open road; a car that will probably go down in history as one of the all-time Ferrari greats. CALIFORNIA The California is unique in the fact that it’s the first Ferrari to have a front mounted V8 engine. It was also the first Ferrari to have a dual-clutch gearbox; a feature now included on the 458. Its hardtop convertible hood makes it drop-dead gorgeous, a perfect GT car that is just at home in the fast, windy sections. It punches out 0-100 kms per hour in around 4 seconds, and produces around 450 HP from its 4.3L powerplant. This is a genuine GT performer and a simply incredible vehicle. FF Powered by a 651 HP, 6.3L V12, the FF is the first production Ferrari to offer four-wheel drive. It is also a genuine 4 seater, in 2+2 configuration. With the same footprint as a 612 Scaglietti, the FF has an imposing presence, and with its 0-100 time around 3.7 seconds, this is one of the fastest four seaters in the world today. With ‘love it or hate it’ looks and styling, the FF will be one of those cars that will change the way you think about Ferraris, we think for the better! 612 SCAGLIETTI The 612 Scaglietti is an incredible vehicle. It was one of the more expensive road Ferraris ever made – in Australia these were optioned at close to one million dollars on the road, with a huge list of extras. It is also the first Ferrari to use an aluminum space frame and body. With its 5¾L V12 producing 532 HP, the 612 accelerates from 0-100 in around 4.2 seconds. For its age, it remains an impressive car and one of the all-time GT greats. F430 Although the F430 has now been superseded by the 458 Italia, it remains one of the most hardcore Ferraris ever, as well as a favourite of ours. Its 4.3L, 483 HP V8 shoots the 430 from 0-100 in 3.9 seconds, which still makes it one of the world’s fastest cars – despite being released 10yrs ago. The F430 is raw, fun, loud and in a world of perfect Supercars, not perfect. That’s why we love it, and why it will still continue to be regarded as one of the greats.
