Corry St. (off Jefferson Ave.) Capacity: 1,400 Surface: FieldTurf Gettler Stadium is the home for both the University of Cincinnati men’s and women’s soccer teams, as well as the men’s and women’s outdoor track and field and cross country teams and, occasionally, lacrosse. In the summer of 2012, the playing surface at Gettler Stadium was replaced with FieldTurf Revolution. The new, top-of-the-line monofilament surface offers thetraditional FieldTurf surface, but with more of a soccer blend that incorporates longer and thicker blades of artificial grass compared to those used for football. The facility was renovated following the 2002-03 academic year and was named in recognition of the gift by Ben and Dee Gettler to the Richard E. Lindner Varsity Village. The restorations included a regulation-sized soccer field with a FieldTurf Pro playing sur- face, which is sanctioned by FIFA, the international governing body of soccer, for all levels of play except the World Cup finals and semifinals. The upgrades also included a new eight-lane, 400-meter track, permanent grandstand seating for 1,400, concession stands and restrooms, team rooms and a press box. These enhancements allowed Cincinnati to host the 2010 BIG EAST Conference Outdoor Track & Field Championships. The running surface was refinished prior to the start of the 2018 track & field season, ahead of the Bearcats playing host to the 2018 AAC Championships. Prior to the renovations made possible by the Gettlers, the facility also had a face lift in 2000 that saw the installation of new lights and a new scoreboard with message center. 4 HOME VENUES • GETTLER STADIUM HOME VENUES • NIPPERT STADIUM NIPPERT STADIUM Address: 2700 Bearcats Way, Cincinnati, Ohio 45221 Constructed: 1915-24 Capacity: 35,000 Carson Field at Nippert Stadium has been the venerable home of the University of Cincinnati football team since 1901 and pro- vides the Bearcats with one of the best home-field environments in college football. The third-oldest NCAA FBS stadium enters a new era in 2015 following the completion of a 20-month, $86-millon, privately fund- ed renovation and expansion project. The reopening of Nippert Stadium coincides with the 100th anniversary of the 1915 original construction of the facility. Through numerous renovations, the structure situated in the middle of the Clifton campus has retained its earlycentury brick- work, wrought iron gates, and trim giving Nippert a comfortable old-time stadium charm and appeal, while remaining a classic showplace for college football.     2016 U.S. Women’s Football Leagues Addendum New Mexico Adult Football League – Women’s Division (NMAFL-W) – 2015 Season The NMAFL-W launched in 2015 with five teams in New Mexico. The Alamogordo Aztecs failed to complete the season, while the Amarillo Lady Punishers joined the league late and absorbed four forfeit losses before even getting out of the gate. But the Lady Punishers were formidable once they got started, upsetting the previously undefeated Roswell Destroyers in the playoffs to make it to the first NMAFL-W title game. That opened the door for the Santa Fe Dukes to swoop in and capture the NMAFL-W championship at the conclusion of the league’s first season.
