Date April 2021 Reports to Commercial and Experience Manager (ND) & GM (Bay Oval Trust) Direct Reports Nil Key Internal Relationships GM Community, Development Manager – , Development Manager – Bay of Plenty, Marketing/Comms Manager, Venue Manager Bay Oval, Ground Staff ( and Bay Oval) Key External Relationships CWC 2022, Tauranga City Council, Hamilton City Council, NZC Primary Objectives • Play an instrumental role in delivering the matches hosted in Tauranga and Hamilton. • Lead the co-ordination and planning for ND and Bay Oval Trust to deliver the event to ICC and Local Organising Committee (LOC) requirements. • On behalf of ND you will be the key conduit with the ICC and LOC in the planning and readiness phases to ensure the integrity and the quality of cricket is maintained for all teams competing in Hamilton and Tauranga. • Responsible for leading the planning and delivery phases of venue facilities and operations at Bay Oval to ensure a successful and safe event at this top- class venue. • Drive planning of operational areas such as logistics, temporary signage and overlay, commercial activities, spectator services, medical and security. • Strong relationships with all staff and contractors at Northern Districts and Bay Oval, as well as external stakeholders including the ICC, NZC, local councils and tournament suppliers and partners.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities Focus • Responsible for planning of cricket operations for training sessions and matches in both Hamilton and Tauranga. In the lead up to the event you will ensure a smooth transition of responsibility to Northern Districts staff to deliver the plans at tournament time • Acting as ‘gatekeeper’ for all communication and requests to and from the LOC and their suppliers, to ensure a consistent and effective process for progressing the planning • Implementing the cricket operations plan provided by the LOC • Liaising with the LOC, internal and external stakeholders to co-ordinate cricket technical requirements such as field of play equipment and protocols, playing conditions, pitch allocations and recruitment and deployment of tournament time resources (e.g. net bowlers, changing room attendants) • Ensuring all CWC22 policies, procedures and systems are adhered to ensure a consistent approach to cricket operations for the tournament • Ensuring all teams and officials enjoy a quality experience, appropriate with a major sporting event and the pinnacle of the women’s game • Driving and implementing venue and event documentation, including health and safety, policies and procedures. • Managing all areas of expenditure within budget and achieving cost savings where possible • Coordinating timelines and meetings and providing a culture of collaboration and information sharing • Identifying and managing issues and risks, and proactively working with stakeholders to resolve issues • Managing the preparation and readiness of match and training venues including commissioning, bump in, resupply, fit out, decommissioning and stakeholder handovers • Providing detailed and timely reporting on progress with strategy, budget, timelines, risks etc. • Striving for world class standards across all areas for operational excellence • Collaborating in cross organisation project teams and ensuring the needs of all areas are considered • Managing and maintaining relevant internal relationships through all stages of operations • Developing and maintaining key external stakeholder and third-party partnerships • Nurturing these functional relationships and fostering a spirit of teamwork and cooperation
