After going to the above link, look at the section titled “Install Flash player in five easy steps” and under step 1 click the button titled “Check Now”: STEP #1 (continued): *Special Note for Firefox* You will see a green checkmark if you Clicking the “Check Now” button may are currently on the newest version: produce a black box instead of the checkmark and exclamation mark:

If you are not on the current version you will see a red exclamation mark: If this happens, click the grey block shaped icon and click the “Allow Now” button. You will now see your Flash version info.
