I would like to announce my new book, Christian Circulations: Global Christianity and the Local Church in Penang and Singapore, 1819-2000, which was published last month by NUS Press (978-981-3251-09-0; paper, 430 pp.) Christian Circulations is a study of urban missions in two British colonial port cities, Penang and Singapore, but also a transregional history of evangelical Christianity and the Open Brethren movement
