Russian researchers from Petrozavodsk (Karelian Research Centre) , St Peters- burg (Komarov Botanical Institute) and Moscow (Moscow State University) were involved in the studies. The goal of the researches was to study the biolgical value of the prevailing forest fragments. An index of the value of the forest fragments was compiled. The index includes the amount and quality and suc- cession of the decaying wood in the sites. The groups studied were Coleoptera, Diptera, Hymenoptera and ap- hyllophoraceous fungi. Coleoptera species were were most numerous in Tapionaho, where there were over 200 spedies found of the total number of 282 found in the studies.

The family Ceraphronidae contains eight species and one subspecies in two genera, the family Megaspilidae four species in three genera, the family Diapriidae 48 species in 16 genera and the family Proctotrupidae three species of the genus Exallonyx KIEFFER, 1904. In addition, one species of the family Diapriidae is classified as incertae sedis. K e y w o r d s : Ceraphronoidea, Ceraphronidae, Megaspilidae, Diaprioidea, Diapriidae, Proctotrupoidea, Proctotrupidae, catalogue, Malagasy subregion. Introduction The small superfamily Ceraphronoidea contains only two families, Ceraphronidae and Megaspilidae. Both families occur in the Malagasy subregion. Species are known as parasitoids or hyperparasitoids of several insects orders (e.g. Lepidoptera, Hemiptera, Hymenoptera), but little is known about their biology. To date, eight species and one subspecies in two genera of the family Ceraphronidae have been recorded from the Malagasy subregion.

HONOI<ULU, HAWAII PUBLISHED BY THE MUSEUM ]936 CHECK LIST OF THE SERPHOIDEA, BETHYLIDAE, AND ANTEONIDAE OF OCEANIA By ROBERT FOUTS The Oceanic islands considered in this paper are those lying to the east of the Philippines and to the north and east of New Guinea and Australia, omitting Lord Howe and Norfolk Islands, New Zealand with adjacent islands, and the subantarctic islands. The main groups of islands included in the territory considered are the Galapagos, the Marquesas, Society, Samoa, Tonga, Fiji, New Hebrides, New Cale donia, Solomon, Marshall, Caroline, Marianas and Hawaiian islands (Hawaii, Maui, Molokai, Oahu, Kauai, Lanai, Nihoa, Kaula). The following genera have been recorded from the Pacific Ocea~ic islands only: Z acraniunt, Plat)lmischoides, Dyscritobaeus, Caenoteleia, N ese pyris, and Sierola (one doubtful species in the United States). Pseu dobaeus, Aphanomerus, and Echthrodelphax occur, as far as known, only in Australia and the Hawaiian islands. Anteromorpha dubiosa, described from Oahu, has been recorded from the Society and Mar quesas islands. It may also occur in Australia as it seems probable that A. australica Dodd is a synonym. Representative of Microphanurus, a genus of world-wide distri bution, have been found in Australia, Tasmania, Fiji, and the Hawai ian islands. Sclerodermus, with similar world-wide distribution, occurs in the Hawaiian, Marianas, and Galapagos islands. Paragona topus, with one species, P. nigricans, has been recorded from Australia and Fiji. FAMILY SERPHIDAE Serphus (?) hawaiiensis Ashmead: 3,* p.

Biodiversity Data Journal 4: e7936. doi: 10.3897/BDJ.4.e7936 Abstract Background A revised checklist of the British and Irish Heloridae and Proctotrupidae (Proctotrupoidea) substantially updates the previous comprehensive checklist, dating from 1978. Country level data (i.e. occurrence in England, Scotland, Wales, Ireland and the Isle of Man) is reported where known. New information A total of three Heloridae and 39 Proctotrupidae (including only certainly recorded species) represents a 27% increase in the British list since 1978. Most species are still poorly known and there has been a dearth of taxonomic and faunistic work on the British and Irish fauna. Keywords Heloridae, Proctotrupidae, fauna, Ireland, Britain © Broad G. The skeleto-musculature of the mesofurca and the mesopostnotum is examined in Hymenoptera. Character systems based on internal structure of the mesothorax support recent hypotheses that suggest sawflies are paraphyletic with respect to Apocrita. Unique character states for Hymenoptera include the presence of two mesofurcal-laterophragmal muscles, a mesofurcal-third basalare muscle, and a scutellar-metanotal muscle. Other possible apomorphies include the medial emargination of the mesopostnotum and the formation of anterior furcal arms. The arrangement of mesofurcal muscles that attach to the and the profurca laterophragma are described and interpreted in light of recent phylogenetic hypotheses. in attachment Changes sites, fusion or loss of the anterior arms of the mesofurca and features of the laterophragma provide characters that are consistent with + the monophyly of Tenthredinoidea (Cephoidea + (Siricoidea (including Anaxyelidae) + + (Xiphydriidae Orussoidea + Apocrita))). Groundplan states for the Apocrita are proposed that include retention of a mesofurcal bridge, retention of an anterior process on the bridge that supports the interfurcal muscles, reduction of the mesofurcal-laterophragmal muscles from two to one, retention of the mesotergal-laterophragmal muscle, loss of the mesofurcal-third basalare muscle, and loss of the metafurcal-spina muscle.
