UP Beta Sigma Fraternity Credo I am a Beta Sigman and I am proud of it. I wear my Fraternity Pin knowing that it represents all that is good and noble in man. To me, it is not a mere piece of tin alloy and gold, for its worth lies not in its ingredients but in the price I have to pay before it is mine to keep; a price computed not in terms of pesos, but of sacrifice, sweat and blood. It must be earned before it is worn. My Fraternity Pin has a history all its own. It tells of the saga of men who climbed the barriers of wealth, region, creed, and prejudices so that they may create a feeling of kinship predicated upon sympathy, understanding, friendship, and equality. As a Beta Sigman, I must cultivate the seeds of love and uproot the weeds of hatred, avarice, and envy. My actions must never stray in a direction that will cast dishonor upon the name of my Fraternity, defy its traditions, nor lower the tone of its dignity. - Prospero Crescini, UP Diliman, ‘49 The cover: “UP Beta Sigma Naming Mahal” An original painting by BoyLuna, UPD 73c BoyLuna, Sigma Naming Mahal” An original painting by “UP Beta The cover: 1 2 3 4 5 UP BETA SIGMA FRATERNITY Program Board of Trustees/Officers 6pm Registration/ Video wall pictures Joel Paredes ‘73 UPD, President 6:45 pm Invocation (Pastor Rod Reyes, UPD 71d) Gil Buddy Quililan ‘78 UPLB , Vice President 6:50 pm Dinner (E Flat Trio and Guest Singer Peter Danao ‘92 UPD, Secretary Rafael Hidalgo ‘86 UPD, Treasurer Performance) 7:45 pm Candle Ceremony and Betan Hymn Alvin Cabatit ‘82 UPD 8:00 pm “Renewal of Rights”, Betan Credo, Gilbert Sison ‘80 UPD Eduardo Garcia ‘79 UPB “Let There Be Light” Randy Felix Malayao ‘89 UPV 8:10 pm National Anthem & UP Naming Mahal Roberto Oliva ‘74 UPLB Conrado Dagdag ‘77 UPLB 8:15pm Las Vegas Showgirls Wilfrido Nepomuceno ‘69 UPD 8:25pm Welcome by the Hosts Lakan Fonacier ‘71 UPD 8:28 pm Introduction of the Opening Ambrosio Lapis ‘80 UPLB Jesus Jayme ‘16 UPM Remarks’ Speaker 8:30 pm Opening Remarks and Acknowledgment Ex Officio Members: of Brods (Pres.
