Volume: 5 Issue: 04 July 2019 MAX PANORAMA World Environment Day Celebration The 46th World Environment Day was celebrated at GVIL plant on 05th June 2019. Adhering to the this year’s theme: “Curb Air Pollution” programmes were scheduled and organized to contribute to the environment. The morning and pre-noon schedules included flag hoisting, environment oath and tree plantation programme were carried out at HOD Block and Nongsning Village. The afternoon programs, included poster and slogan competitions among employees, children’s drawing competition and a skit competition. The employees who are fathers were given gifts and cards and honoured for their strong fatherhood. Biscuits and water were distributed to all the devotees who came to worship during the biggest festival of the state. Volume: 5 Issue: 04 July 2019 MAX PANORAMA Max Art - The Annual Sculpture Contest In association with the Guwahati Government College of Art & Crafts , Max Art , is an annual event of Max Cement, looked forward eagerly by the students who get a chance to hone their talent on this platform and also get recognized. A panel of 5 judges jointly adjudged 16 entries which were in the theme of 'The Festivals of the North East'. With the joint decision of the judge’s panel, the first prize was deservingly awarded to Surya Kr. Sakia who sculpted the Rhythms of Nature. Then the second prize was awarded to the sculpture of Madam Mefi by Manjit Gogoi and the third prize was awarded to Sonty Banikya whose sculpture was based on Karbi Tribe and their festivals. The audience was addressed with a speech by our general manager, who said that the initiative was in tune with its stated objective to promote art and culture in northeast. The Contest serves to achieve this Social objective by encouraging both creativity and nurturing talent. Volume: 5 Issue: 04 July 2019 MAX PANORAMA Max Art - The Annual Sculpture Contest MAX Cement is proud to present the sculptures that won the hearts of the judges in the Max Art Sculpture Competition 2019. 1st Prize This sculpture represents the Rhythms of Nature perfectly sculpted by Surya Kr. Sakia with MAX CEMENT and other ingredients from Government College of Art & Crafts, Guwahati. His touch of perfection won him the first prize. 2nd Prize Manjit Gogoi, a student sculptor from Government College of Art & Crafts Guwahati, secured the second position in the Max Art Sculpture Competition 2019 organized by MAX CEMENT. His sculpture of Me-Dam-Me-Phi is the most important ancestor worship communal festival in the Ahom religion specially built with MAX CEMENT and other ingredients. 3rd Prize Max Cement is very happy to announce that Sonty Banikya, a student sculptor from Government College of Art and Crafts Guwahati has created the aesthetically beautiful sculptor which he refers to as the ‘Karbi Tribe and Their Festivals’ with MAX CEMENT and other ingredients for the Max Art Sculptor Competition 2019. This sculptor tries to depict the flavour and culture of the Karbi tribe people and their celebrated festivals in one artwork. We support the vision of budding artists of tomorrow and encourage all to appreciate this work of art that has been created solely for our event. Volume: 5 Issue: 04 July 2019 MAX PANORAMA IRIPA Zonal Conference The 6th National Conference of Indian Railway Infrastructure Providers Association – IRIPA – SAMAGAM’19 was held at Hotel Kiranshree Grand on 29th June’19. The event was inaugurated by Mr. Mahesh Kumar, the organizing Charmian IRIPA along with Mr. Pawan Bhartia, Co Chairman in presence of Mr. Rajesh Meghani, Sec. IRIPA, Mr. Bal Krishna Sarma, President, IRIPA. The chief guest of the event was Mr. S. Roy, GM, NF Railway. MAX was one of the sponsor of the event. All the delegates who had come to attend the meet was given a Certificate of Appreciation from MAX Cement. The organizing team of IRIPA had felicitated Mr. Srinjoy Guha, Manager- Non Trade, Mr. Manoj Modak, Astt. Manager- Non Trade for the support extended by MAX cement in completion the grand success of the event. You have diarrhoea if you have loose stools three or more in a day. Common causes Bacteria from contaminated food or water. Viruses such as the flu, novo virus, or rotavirus. Rotavirus is the most common cause of acute diarrhoea in children. Parasites, which found in contaminated food or water. Medicine such as antibiotics, antacids etc. Food intolerances and sensitivities, the inability to fully digest some food products, example - Lactose intolerance. Diseases that affect the stomach, small intestine or colon. Problems with how the colon functions such as irritable bowel syndrome. Who is at risk for diarrhoea? People of all ages can get diarrhoea. On average, adults in India have acute diarrhoea once a year. Young Children have it an average of twice a year. People who regularly visit different places for their work, they have a chance for traveller’s diarrhoea. It is caused by consuming contaminated food or water. Other symptoms along with diarrhoea Cramps or pain in the abdomen. An urgent need to use the bathroom. Loss of bowel control Fever, chills and bloody stools. Dehydration Weakness. When go to a doctor Signs of dehydration Loose motion for more than 2 days. Severe abdomen pain. Fever Stools containing blood or pus. Stools those are black and tarry. If children have diarrhoea, parents must consult with doctor. Diarrhoea can be especially dangerous in newborns and infants Home treatments Diarrhoea is treated by replacing lost fluids and electrolytes to prevent dehydration. Depending on the cause of problem, you may need medicine. Children with diarrhoea should be given oral rehydration solutions to replace lost fluids and electrolytes. Prevention Drink boil water Don’t eat contaminated food or outside food. Make sure that the cooked food you eat is fully cooked. Avoid unwashed or unpeeled raw fruits and vegetables. Wash your hand before and after eat any food. Rotavirus diarrhoea and traveller’s diarrhoea these two types of diarrhoea can be prevented. There are vaccines for rotavirus. You can prevent traveller’s diarrhoea by being careful about what you can eat and drink when you are travelling difference places. Dr.R.K.
