Welcome to 5R assembly about around the world We all chose a country, did some research on how they celebrate Christmas and designed a slide about it. Enjoy! How Christmas works in Madagascar.   Madagascar celebrate christmas on the 25th of December.  Madagascar normally eat Chicken or with rice followed by a special cake.  ‘Arahaba tratry ny Noely’ is Merry Christmas in Madagascar.  Families eat together at Christmas in large groups. Edith USA In the USA, Christmas is celebrated on the 25th of december and they like to decorate the outside of their house. Here the festive season traditionally begins on the fourth Thursday in november. The in the U.S. includes turkey or , potatoes, pie and of course fried bread spiced with orange peels. After dinner, on , children go to bed early but not before hanging up their stockings.

The pohutukawa tree is on the north island particularly north of new plymouth and gisborne and it grows up to 20 meters high and 35 meters wide.

In New Zealand they have christmas or santa parades with decorated floats,bands And marching teams. The New Zealanders usually spend their time mostly on the beach or camping. They usually have the santa parades Between november and december. Daisy-Skye

In Australia, Christmas comes towards the start of the summer holidays! Australians put wreaths on their door and go carol singing on Christmas Eve. In Australia, they open their presents on Christmas day. Australians eat cold ham and cold turkey, seafood, salads and roasted chicken. When Australians celebrate Christmas on December 25, it is during their summer vacation. Australians celebrate christmas 2 times a year. Once on the traditional December 25th and then once again in July.

GUS VAUTIER How does Ukraine celebrate Christmas? Ukraine celebrate christmas on the 7 January. A Ukraine Christmas meal has no meat but there is a sweet kind of porridge. Also they sing carols and hold a hand made star on a pole.
