PLEASE NOTE: There may be variations in the list of nursery stock JJ’s Acres carries from this list. The varieties and sizes available to us depend on the season and on the growers. Please be sure to stop by our Garden Center located at 9436 Hwy J in Woodruff or call 715.356.6865 with any further questions you may have about your gardens.

SHRUB PLANTING TIPS: ● Dig your hole two times the width and 6” deeper than the container. ● Plant Media: topsoil, peat moss and leaf compost ● Water the plant 3x the day you install the plant. Continue watering every third day for the next month (rain or shine). ● When you water, use Root Stimulator (for the first few watering). This will promote root growth and help maintain moisture within the hair roots of your new plant.

SHRUB & TREE CARE TIPS: ● Every spring work fresh leaf compost into the soil around shrubs. The compost will help with soil retention as well as adds micronutrients to the soil. ● Fertilize the shrubs with a time-release fertilizer in spring and mid summer (Sustane Fertilizer) ● For evergreens - after the first growing season it is recommended to fertilize your evergreen shrub or tree with a systemic fertilizer and insecticide. ● For evergreens, Fertilome Triple Action is a great product to use to battle insect problems that commonly occur in evergreens. This is an all-natural product; the active ingredient is Neem Oil. · Most deciduous shrubs can be trimmed back either after a few good frosts in fall (usually late October), in early spring or after it is done flowering. Please talk with a JJ’s Acres Garden Center professionals to find out when your specific shrubs should be trimmed.
