Le budget de la culture vient de subir une baisse historique. Le projet du Centre National de la Musique (qui devait insuffler près de 100 millions d’euros de nouveaux moyens dans la filière musicale) est abandonné. Tous ceux qui ont fait le dos rond pendant dix ans en attendant le retour de l’espoir sont sans voix. A quoi bon se plaindre ? C’est la crise qui gouverne et elle n’a pas d’oreilles nous dit-on. Alors doit-on s’habituer à sa dictature sourde ? Le politique ne pourrait-il plus rien ? N’aurait-il même plus le pouvoir de choisir ? Choisir de ne pas passer nos convictions par pertes et profits et de reconnaître la culture comme l’un des piliers majeurs de notre société. Choisir d’interroger la pertinence des très gros moyens alloués depuis longtemps à de très grosses structures au train de vie parfois écœurant. Choisir de redéployer les aides pour encourager les initiatives nouvelles, adaptées à notre temps, créatives, portant des valeurs d’éthique de partage. Les acteurs des musiques actuelles, première pratique culturelle des français, sont désormais en grande difficulté. C’est sous une très forte contrainte budgétaire que les membres de notre réseau ont construit leur programmation du trimestre : 128 concerts et deux festivals sur un fil d’équilibriste… Le MAAD 93 clame haut et fort qu’il a besoin d’aide pour protéger ses adhérents, pour renforcer le jeu de la solidarité, pour préserver la diversité artistique de ce territoire sensible.
