Five Finger Death Punch Got Your Six Album Download five finger death punch got your six album download Got Your Six [Deluxe] Five Finger Death Punch have proven one of the most popular alt-metal bands, with three gold records, enviable radio play, and sell-out tours. Their instantly recognizable sound is comprised of equal parts melodic and meaty guitar riffs, fat vamps, catchy hooks, tight, flashy solos, and hard- grooving bass and drums. Ivan Moody's half-sung/half-growled -- always angry -- vocals rage over the top. Got Your Six is no different. (The thinking seems to be, "If it ain't broke, milk it.") Recorded by Kevin Churko, it's a tad slicker than its predecessors. The album's biggest setback isn't behind the board, though, it's but behind the mike. Moody's lyrics are so juvenile and clunky they distract from the better songs. First single "Jekyll & Hyde" has him trying to rap the verses in old-school ('80s) style. Zoltan Bathory's chugging riff and Jason Hook's brief, powerful solo can't rescue it. The title track intros with soft melodic guitar then give way to a crunchy, heavy riff, unruly bass, cracking snare, and kick drum. Meanwhile, Moody growls/sings about what a loyal eternal bad ass he is, talks during the breakdown, and mars an otherwise fine song. The first line in "This Ain't My Last Dance," "I'm the apocalypse/with a fat lip. " is so ridiculous, the track is impossible to take seriously. "No Sudden Moment" is the heaviest thing here, with a blasting riff, thundering double-kick drum, and satisfying guitar breaks, but the dumb singalong chorus ("Click clack/Reload/Click clack/Unload") diffuses the impact. "Question Everything" -- with the least offensive lyrics here -- contains a throbbing bassline and flamenco-style guitar breakdown. Set-closer "Boots & Blood" commences with "Think of one word to change the world/And now put it into action/Fuuuuuuuuck!" That last word becomes a mantra, used in almost every line in this "anthem" and the generic riff doesn't help. Moody's awful writing isn't the only problem on Got Your Six, just the biggest one. As a whole, the album doesn't contain the hunger, heaviness, or energy earlier records did. It's bigger sonically, but less cohesive. The platinum-selling arena rockers' eighth studio effort -- and first to feature new drummer Charlie Engen -- is aptly named. Puns aside, F8 also happens to be the function key used to access the Windows recovery system, which dovetails nicely with Five Finger Death Punch wildman Ivan Moody, who underwent his own bit of rehabilitation in 2017. Having successfully sworn off the booze, Moody and company have crafted a baseline-angst bonanza that rolls in with the subtlety of a Michael Bay action sequence and never looks back. Produced with sizable modern rock radio heft by longtime collaborator Kevin Churko (Ozzy Osbourne, Disturbed), the overlong set (16 tracks if you count the bonus cuts) commences with a bit of orchestral bombast before unleashing a pair of groove-laden stadium bangers ("Inside Out" and "Full Circle") that are among the heaviest of the band's career. The punishing "Scar Tissue" and "This Is War" follow suit, with the poppy "A Little Bit Off" and the heartfelt closer "Brighter Side of Grey" doing their due diligence as palate cleansers. Moody's vocals have never sounded better, even if the material tends to play it safe -- F8 ticks off all of the FFDP boxes, and to be fair, moves at a steady clip, with only two tracks clocking in over four minutes. Bingham was replaced by guitarist Darrell Roberts in 2006, who was then replaced by Jason Hook in 2009. Bassist Matt Snell departed from the band in 2010, and was replaced by Chris Kael in 2011. Spencer then departed the band in 2018 due to re-occurring back issues, and was replaced by Charlie Engen, making Bathory and Moody the only original members of the band. Five Finger Death Punch's debut album The Way of the Fist was released in 2007, which began achieving rapid success and selling over 500,000 copies in the United States. The 2009 follow-up album War Is the Answer further increased their popularity, selling over 1,000,000 copies and got certified Platinum by the RIAA, the band's third album, American Capitalist , was released on October 11, 2011, and achieved Gold status within the year. The following three albums— The Wrong Side of Heaven and the Righteous Side of Hell, Volume 1 (2013), The Wrong Side of Heaven and the Righteous Side of Hell, Volume 2 (2013), and Got Your Six (2015)—have all been certified Gold, making Five Finger Death Punch one of the most successful heavy metal bands of the decade. The band has played international music festivals including Mayhem Festival in 2008, 2010 and 2013, and Download Festival in 2009, 2010, 2013, 2015, and 2017. The band released their seventh studio album, And Justice for None , in 2018. Five Finger Death Punch are the recipients of the RadioContraband Rock Radio Awards for 'Indie Artist of the Year' in 2011, 2012, 2013, and 2014. History [ edit ] Formation and The Way of the Fist (2005–2009) [ edit ] Five Finger Death Punch was founded in 2005 [1] [2] by former U.P.O. bassist [1] [3] Zoltan Bathory and drummer Jeremy Spencer, Zoltan deriving the band's name from classic martial arts cinema. [4] Bassist Matt Snell joined in early 2006. [1] [5] Later that year, Bathory contacted former Motograter vocalist Ivan Moody, sending him some of the material the band had recorded and asked him to audition for the vocalist position. [1] Moody flew from his home in Denver, Colorado to Los Angeles and quickly began recording material with the band. [6] By the end of 2006, their debut album, The Way of the Fist had been recorded and entirely self-produced. [1] The album was recorded with Stevo 'Shotgun' Bruno and Mike Sarkisyan and was mixed by guitarist Logan Mader. [1] [7] After searching for a second guitarist, they found Caleb Bingham who played some shows with the band, but was later replaced by Darrell Roberts. [13] From July 30 – September 2, 2007, the band went on their first major tour cycle as one of the supporting acts on Korn's Family Values Tour. [14] They were also a supporting act of the North American leg of Korn's Bitch We Have a Problem Tour from September 22 – October 27, 2007. [14] They were set to tour with Chimaira and All That Remains from January through March 2008, but due to singer Moody developing cysts on his vocal cords they were forced to pull out. [15] He made a full recovery and they began to tour again. [16] They supported Disturbed on their Indestructible US Tour from April through May 2008. [17] The Way of the Fist was re-released on May 13, 2008, with 3 bonus tracks. [18] One of the bonus tracks, 'Never Enough' was released as the album's second single on July 15, 2008. [19] Later that year they were a part of the 2008 Mayhem Festival playing the Jägermeister Stage. [20] The third single from The Way of the Fist , 'Stranger Than Fiction' was released on September 17, 2008. [19] The Way of the Fist was released through Spinefarm Records in Canada on November 4, 2008, [21] and in Europe on January 19, 2009. [22] In January 2009, Darrell Roberts was rumored to have been fired; [23] the split was confirmed a few days later, and Roberts was replaced by guitarist Jason Hook. Ils y ont vendus plusieurs millions d'albums, le dernier « Got You Six » a été N°2 dès sa sortie (500 000 exemplaires écoulés). D'autres pays (N°3 Finlande,N°3 Canada ,N° 5 Allemagne et Suisse) ont succombé à leur Heavy Métal parfois trash mais non dénué de finesse ( comme ici le très beau « Gone Away » cover de The Offspring). C'est bien fait et assez mélodique comme « Wash It all Away » , »Wrong Side Of Heaven » ou » « I Apologize », Malgré quelques poussées « métalcore » du chanteur Ivan Moody l'ensemble se laisse très bien écouter grâce à une belle richesse des compositions. Les « The Bleeding », l'inédit« Trouble » en sont la parfaite illustration heavy mais avec une bonne trame mélodique, les « Remember Everything », »Battle Born » me font penser à du très bon Nickelback. La power ballade « Far from Home »est particulièrement réussie. Un Excellent best of pour un très bon groupe . Ce « Decade of Destruction » est rentré dans pas mal de charts : USA N° 29 Suède N°45,Canada N°30,Allemagne N°36,Australie N° 30, Autriche N° 52. DISCONNECTED » White Colossus » Gros son avec la production de Stéphane Martinot, le mixing de François Maxime Boutault (Dagoba, Loudblast) et le mastering de Maor Appelbaum( Yes, Faith No More, Sepultura) pour ce très intéressant album de Disconnected.Ce groupe Français fait preuve d'audace avec des titres comme les très envoutants« Wounded Heart », » Feodora » ou les plus modernes « The Wish « , « For All Our Sakes » ou « Armageddon ».
