FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE September 26, 2012 FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH'S AMERICAN CAPITALIST CERTIFIED GOLD RIAA Award Marks Third Consecutive Album To Reach Milestone on Prospect Park Records Las Vegas, NV - Five Finger Death Punch's American Capitalist (Prospect Park) has been certified gold by the RIAA for shipping over 500,000 copies in the U.S. This milestone marks the third consecutive release from the band to achieve gold certification, with The Way of The Fist (2007) and War Is The Answer (2009) achieving this feat prior. American Capitalist debuted at number 3 on the Billboard charts on October 11, 2011. In a challenging retail environment, Five Finger Death Punch is one of the few amongst any genre to consistently see significant success both digitally and physically. The band's album sales are complemented with steady single sales that cumulatively have surpassed 3.6 million songs sold. On achieving this significant milestone with three consecutive gold certified albums, guitarist Zoltan Bathory shared, "I think it's a huge win for all of us, not just for us as a band but for the entire genre of Hard Rock and Heavy Metal. This is a loud and clear indicator that heavy music is in demand and if a relatively new band like us can accomplish something like this, then maybe be this is just the prelude for the shape of things to come." "The hard work continues to pay off. In a time when rock is supposed to have one foot in the grave and the idea of selling albums has become a lost cause, FFDP and Prospect Park have continued to defy industry expectations and have triumphed again - with a third straight gold record, ten Top Ten singles at Active Rock radio, a Number One song in 'Coming Down,' and a whole legion of dedicated fans!" said Prospect Park Records' Deb Klein. Five Finger Death Punch's most recent single "Coming Down" reached number one on the Active Rock charts. This success marked the tenth consecutive Top 10 hit at the format, cementing the act's position as one of the most relevant in Rock. Going back to "The Bleeding" in the spring of 2008, Five Finger Death Punch has consistently been one of the most heavily played bands at rock radio, as "Never Enough," "Stranger Than Fiction," "Hard To See," "Walk Away," "Bad Company," "Far From Home," "Under And Over It," "Remember Everything," and most recently "Coming Down," each has become an anthem in its own right. Singer Ivan Moody recently shared, "radio stations across the U.S., and basically the whole World, have been very supportive of the band. We are grateful and remain indebted to them for stepping behind us, and as our fan base continues to grow year after year, it is clear that rock radio is far from dead. People are listening. With 'Coming Down,' there is obviously a deep message of hope this song lyrically offers. To have success on the radio with a track that is so meaningful to me personally, and many others, is an amazing feeling." www.fivefingerdeathpunch.com .
