Los Angeles, CA -- September 12, 2012 – and Jim Lauderdale, both critically acclaimed singer and songwriters, have teamed up for a very special duets record titled Buddy & Jim. “I’ve been waiting for a long for this,” explained Jim. “I can’t believe it’s finally happening. To get to record with Buddy is a dream.” After plotting for years to record together, Buddy adds jokingly “We made this record in three days but it sounds like it took four.” In the vein of Johnnie & Jack and The Louvin Brothers, Buddy and Jim have stepped back to the 1950s when male country artists wrote, sang and harmonized together. Adding their own spin on the sound, the cohorts have created a special with a mix of new tunes and older favorites. “I Lost My Job Of Loving You,” co-written by Buddy and Jim, is available to hear at facebook.com/buddyandjimradioshow. Buddy & Jim (New West Records) will be available as a CD as well as limited edition vinyl on Black Friday (November 23rd, 2012) at independent record stores taking part in Record Store Day’s Back To Black Friday promotion, followed by a worldwide release everywhere else music is sold on December 11th, 2012.
