We’re excited for the 44th Biennial FarmHouse Conclave to come to the Music City. This will be our first Conclave in Nashville. We’ve left several spots open in the schedule, so that you can get out and explore. You may want to take a tour of the city, visit the Country Music Hall of Fame or enjoy a riverboat cruise. Hotel room rates are good for 2 days on either side of Aug. 9-13 in case you want to extend your stay.

REGISTRATION Please complete and return the Conclave Registration Form with your Conclave fees by July 1st for a $50 discount. If your registration is submitted by July 1st, the fee is $225 for FarmHouse alumni/advisors; $200 for undergrads; and $150 for housemothers/spouses/guests, thereafter the registration fee increases by $50 per person. The registration fee includes the Wednesday Welcome Dinner, Thursday Opening Banquet, Friday “State of FarmHouse” Luncheon, BBQ Dinner and Night Out at The Wildhorse, Closing Awards Brunch, ticket to Grand Ole Opry, refreshment breaks, and all Conclave activities and workshops. The Conclave fee does not include hotel accommodations or other meals on your own.

CANCELLATIONS Cancellations must be made in writing. A $50 cancellation fee will be deducted from the refund of your Conclave registration fee for cancellations made by July 1st. Refunds will be made between July 1st and August 1st, but a $100 cancellation fee will be deducted. No registration refunds can be made after August 1st.

HOTEL ACCOMMODATIONS The 2006 Conclave will take place at the Nashville Airport Marriott in Nashville, Tenn. Room rates will be $95 per night plus tax for single, double, triple, or quad occupancy. FarmHouse has a block of rooms reserved with the expectation that all out-of-town Conclave participants will stay at the hotel. The FarmHouse International Office does not handle room reservations. You can make your room reservations by calling the Nashville Marriott at 800-770-0555. Ask for the Conclave block rate of $95 per night (plus taxes).

ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE Participants will want to arrive on Wednesday, August 9. The 2006 Conclave will begin with a reception & buffet dinner Wednesday evening, with a “Good to Great” leadership program Thursday morning, August 10, followed by delegate committee meetings. The closing brunch will wrap up by 11 am on Sunday, August 13. Please plan your travel arrangements to allow ample time to check-in and out without disrupting Conclave activities.

GETTING THERE We realize many of you will be driving to Conclave. For directions to the hotel – please log on to www.Marriott.com and enter Nashville, Tenn., then select Nashville Airport Marriott (600 Marriott Drive). For those of you who’ll need to fly, the Nashville Airport Marriott has a complimentary airport shuttle that you can call when you arrive at the Nashville airport. Southwest and all major airlines fly into Nashville.

ADDITIONAL NOTES 1. Tipping - Hotel skycaps, shuttle drivers, doormen and bellmen should be tipped on the basis of $1 for each piece of luggage they assist with. Housekeepers – $1-2 per day, depending on how many people are in room. 15 to 20% of the bill is the suggested "going rate" for hotel restaurant service people and taxi/shuttle drivers.

2. Alcohol Policy & Policy on Alcohol-Free Housing at FarmHouse Conferences - As Conclave is an official function of the International Fraternity, please understand that the alcohol policy must be followed at all Conclave functions (see policy at http://www.farmhouse.org/guides/pg_policy_alcohol_free.pdf).

3. Shuttle service - Shuttles will be utilized to transport ALL participants to the Friday evening event at The Wildhorse in downtown Nashville, to the Saturday golf tournament and to transport those who want to ride the bus to Opryland/Opry Mills/Grand Ole Opry area for the Undergraduate Night on the Town on Saturday and for alumni to join up with the students for the Grand Ole Opry show Saturday night. Students will be on their own for dinner on Saturday night.

4. Saturday Tours - We’d recommend you visit www.nashvillecvb.com to get information about attractions or look at booking a tour for Saturday morning (tour companies, such as www.graylinenashville.com can pick you up at the hotel).
