Students who choose the Industrial and Organizational (I-O) concentration have a chance to learn from renowned faculty in Barcelona and Pau-Bayonne, France. • Learn how business is conducted around the world with the Merrick School of Business’ Global Field Studies, which has taken students to countries including Thailand, Italy and Chile in the last decade. The school also partners with the Berlin School of Economics and Law to offer a variety of three- and four-week summer programs taught in English. • Learn about crime and correctional systems around the world through Study abroad experiences in locations including the College of Public Affairs’ Global Experiences in Criminal Justice. BEYOND THE CLASSROOM • Participate in fellowships and intern- ships supporting the Center for Drug Policy and Enforcement’s efforts to combat drug trafficking and abuse. • Work with Maryland’s preeminent applied research and policy analysis center during a graduate fellowship with the William Donald Schaefer Center for Public Policy. • At the Jacob France Institute, access workforce development research and socioeconomic data. • Collaborate with faculty in the William and Althea Wagman Laboratory to assist in data collection and analysis. You can also conduct and publish original research. • Build and grow your own enterprise with help from the Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation. Through the William Donald Schaefer Center for Public Policy, students find opportunities to put their knowledge to work on research projects sponsored by local, state and federal governments; nonprofit organizations; and other enterprises.
