AEBN Content Submittal Guidelines (Spring 2018) Preferred Audio/Video Formats Current HD and UHD (4K) Content: MP4 Program Stream (.mp4) with H.264/AVC or H.265/HEVC video, stereo AAC audio WebM Container (.webm) with AOMedia AV1 video, stereo Opus audio Blu-ray Disc Legacy SD and Older HD Content: MPEG-2 Program Stream (.mpg or .mpeg) with MPEG-2 video, stereo MP2 audio MP4 Program Stream (.mp4) with H.264/AVC or H.265/HEVC video, stereo AAC audio WebM Container (.webm) with AOMedia AV1 video, stereo Opus audio DVD or Blu-ray Disc VR Content: MP4 Program Stream (.mp4) with H.264/AVC or H.265/HEVC video, stereo AAC audio 3D (left-right, 16/9), or 360° (16/9), or 3D+360° (over-under, 1/1) Friendly Advice: Please encode with more bits than you think you need. Compression artifacts cannot be undone. We accept interlaced content, but prefer progressive scan. Please encode to a constant frame rate, not variable. No telecine or pulldown. Standard frame rates include 23.976, 24, 25, 29.970, 30, 50, 59.940, and 60 fps. Please do not scale SD content up to HD, or HD content up to UHD. Content without pertinent compliance documents Content with excessive branding/advertising Tape-based media or film. Split audio (dialogue in one ear, music in the other) WMV, FLV, RM, or 3GP files Vertically-oriented cellphone footage Artwork: Front and back cover art must be present for each title submitted o Sent at the same time as the audio/video file(s). o Minimum width & height = 380x540 pixels We prefer print resolution BMP, TIFF, JPEG, PNG, etc. OK. o 300 dpi layered .psd files preferred. o Send us any fonts as-is or in rasterized form. We also encourage you to send in copies of your production still images at the highest possible quality. o No blurry or low quality screencaps, please. Questions?
