n Sunday, April 29, our Society met at the Chartwell Golf and Country Club Phantom O in Severna Park. Our Guest Speaker, Delaware Society’s Deputy Governor PILGRIM General, Noel H. Kuhrt, Jr., spoke about Pilgrim history and their significant contribution to our country. He described the passengers on the Mayflower, the BALL landing in Plymouth, and the importance of help received from the Indians. Our rich heritage of perseverance, industriousness, tolerance, belief in God, and respect for law are part of the Pilgrim legacy, along with the ideal that all men are created equal. Noel’s wife, Karen, displayed her painting, “Four Teenage Women The Society of of the Mayflower,” and prints were available for sale. The Fall Maryland Board of Assistants (BOA) meeting was held on Saturday, October 6, 2018 at the historic Hancock’s Resolution in Severna Park, MD. Governor Mallory called the meeting to: (1) report on the recent GSMD General Board of Assistants (GBOA) held on September 7-8 in St. Charles, Illinois, (2) prepare for the upcoming Compact Day Dinner, (3) discuss officer and committee reports, (4) discuss Life Memberships, and (5) enjoy the afternoon with a social picnic and tour.
