Starting with the Angels' your servant." Our ability to show effective, Christlike Rebellion, then the Fall of Adam & Eve and continuing service only comes from “serving under” the Holy Spirit’s today, such an exalted, demonic desire to be as Powerful as Power. "Whoever wishes to be first among you will be the God remains the ultimate temptation. God gave angels and slave of all." Such a high expectation! We can't possibly humans the powerful Gift of free will, and it came with a conjure up that level of selfsacrifice using our own per- choice: Will I use my personal power to serve God…or to sonal power. We must honestly surrender and exchange serve myself? We Christians do not totally reject God as our personal power for God’s Personal Power (aka Holy Satan did, yet we make daily choices to use our personal Spirit). We will always come back to that eternal “power power to either “reign over” God’s Will or “serve under” choice”: to serve God or serve ourselves. Serving God’s God’s Will. Today’s Gospel shows Jesus dealing with His way requires using God's unlimited power; serving our disciples’ personal power struggles. To correctly use our way requires using our limited power supply. We don't personal power, as God intended us, means that we want to have enough personal power to serve others as Christ empower others through our service. We teach, demon- did. As we embrace these autumn months, May the earlier setting of the sun remind us to take time to rest.May the crunch of the leaves beneath our feet remind us of the brevity of this earthly life.May the steam of our breath in the cool air remind us that it is you who give us your breath of life.May the scurrying of the squirrels and the migration of the birds remind us that you call us to follow your will. We praise you for your goodness forever and ever.Amen. Many Blessings, Pam
ALL PARENTS OF K5 CHILDREN: I urge you to send your child to the “Liturgy of the Word” for Kindergarten through Grade 5 students at 9am and 10:30am Sunday Masses. They will hear the Mass Scriptures and discuss those Scriptures at their appropriate intellectual and spiritual level. They will receive a better understanding about the Bible and being a disciple of Jesus than if they remain in Church with the adults. They will return to Church in time for the “Liturgy of the Eucharist”. Whether your child attends Catholic School, Religious Education or is Homeschooled, the Children’s “Liturgy of the Word” is a different worship/faith experience. Kindergarten & Grade 1 meet in the Gorman Room. Grades 25 meet in the Gathering Room. NOTE: DO keep Preschoolers with you. We still have one opening for a Leader at the 10:30am Mass.
