SAILING INSTRUCTIONS

1 RULES The regatta will be governed by the rules as defined in the current World . 1.1 Personal Flotation Devices (PFD) shall be worn by any under the age of 16, at all times while on the water except for brief periods while adjusting personal gear.

2 ENTRIES 2.1 Competitors may Register by completing the entry form online at www.stcroixyc.com,

3 NOTICES TO COMPETITORS 3.1 Notices to competitors will be announced at the Skippers Meeting or on the designated VHF Channel, or at Protestant Cay after the first race

4 SIGNALS MADE ASHORE 4.1 There will be none…..

5 SCHEDULE OF RACES and CLASS FLAG(S) 5.1 Sunday : 0900: Skippers meeting - VIA VHF do not gather. 0930: Start of Race to discussed Beach Noonish: Lunch/drinks/beach games? - Coronavirus Pending 1300: Start of Race back to the SCYC 1600ish: Drinks/BBQ/Awards/Bon-fire? Coronavirus Pending 5.2 The Class Flag -Rhodes 19

6 RACING AREA 6.1 The North Side and South side of St. Croix

7 [S] and MARKS 7.1 Attachment A shows the courses. 7.2 Marks will be various objects, beaches, docks etc etc. Will all be displayed on Attachment A.

8 STARTING AND FINISHING LINES; STARTING SYSTEM 8.1 The start of the Race will be at the end of the SCYC T-Dock 8.2 The finish of the Race will be the first to in sand near designated beach. 8.3 The Start of the Race back to SCYC will be off the Beach of designated beach. 8.4 The Finish of the Race back to SCYC will be the first Team to order a Drink from the SCYC Bar.(In Person, from a crew that sailed.)

9 PENALTY SYSTEM

9.1 For all classes, rule 44.1 is changed so that the Two-Turns Penalty is replaced by the One-Turn Penalty 9.2 Alternate Penalty will be paying the current Bar Tab of the fouled boat…...the choice is yours…...

10 TIME LIMIT 10.1 Daylight hours

11 PROTESTS and REQUESTS FOR REDRESS 11.1 A boat intending to protest shall inform the other boat 11.2 Protests shall be decided by the other in the race 11.3 Protests will be heard on the closest beach, “5 min justice” all protests will be heard at a distance.

12 SCORING 12.1 Low Point Scoring System 12.2 First Tie - Breaker. Oldest Combined crew age wins 12.4 Second Tie Breaker, who beat who in the last race

13 PRIZES

13.1 Top three will get assorted prizes and everyone will be recognized. from a distance.

14 COMMUNICATION.

14.1 All sailors monitor the designated VHF Channel 06.

15 RETIRING FROM RACING

15.1 Any team retiring from a race or for the day, please contact another sailor and inform them.
