Fairytales Often Start with Once Upon a Time, in a Beautiful Kingdom... but What About If It Starts with Once Upon a Time, in A fairytales often start with once upon a time, in a beautiful kingdom... but what about if it starts with once upon a time, in a coffee shop, can't it be called a fairytale? it's weird, though. Starting a fairytale in a coffe shop?! But the question make s perfect sense to me.. --Denise The "far far away kingdom" can be very perfect. You can imagine it with all it's completeness- the love and joy in it. and of course, in fairytales, there are a lways happy endings.-- Gino But then, this perfect place can only be imagined, this place is not for real. S o i choose reality, because in life, there are no perfect places, no perfect peo ple, and.. not all have happy endings. If fairytales give everything to me, and reality gives me the imperfect ones? then i will choose reality. How can i learn if I live in a perfect world? because there is no perfect in life because there is no perfect love If fairytales give me joy, and reality gives me pain? i would choose reality, because love finds its way to hurt people. and there are times that you feel contented because you were able to pass those sorrows. If fairytales give me a perfect kingdom, and reality gives me a coffee shop? then i would choose the coffee shop.. 1. Being compatible with someone doesn‘t mean na lagi kayong nagkakasundo sa mga bagay na ang gusto mo ay gusto nya. Remember: you have your own individual differences; you‘re totally different from each other. Maraming bagay sa mundo ang hindi napagkakasunduan na kadalasan dahilan ng away at hiwalayan. But if you just try to give way for each and everyone, you could be a better person. Life is just a matter of adjustments. Hindi ba‘t masarap isipin na, nang dahil sa kanya, natutuhan mong mahalin ang mga bagay na dati hindi mu pinapahalagahan. 2. Bf and Gf once played a game, the boy will write the things he like the girl to change and vice versa. After an hour, they trade their work with one another. The boy started to cry while reading 10 pages work of his gf. Then his gf also started to cry because her bf only wrote – ―wala akong gusting baguhin sau dahil minahal kita ng ganyan ka at tinanggap ko lahat simula nung sinabi kong mahal kita. 3. The shit you hear about me might be true. But then again it might be as FAKE as the bitch who told you. 4. HEART FOR SALE!Who wants to buy my heart? I‘m having it for sale. Although it‘s only second hand, still it functions well. Because once, I sold it whole, but someone returned it broken. Now, had it all repaired and now I‘m back in business. Who wants to buy my heart? Satisfaction guaranteed. It has free service charge and a lifetime warranty.

  • Aspiration, Education and Entrepreneurship: Identifying Changes in Lifestyle Aspirations of Filipina Informal Settlers Over Space and Time
Aspiration, Education and Entrepreneurship: Identifying Changes in Lifestyle Aspirations of Filipina Informal Settlers over Space and Time by Luceille Annette Outhred Thesis submitted to Flinders University for partial fulfilment of the degree of Doctor of Education College of Education, Psychology & Social Work November 2019 ABSTRACT This qualitative research project focuses on Filipina informal settlers (women squatters) who live in the Manila megalopolis, and asks How have the Lifestyle Aspirations of Filipina Informal Settlers changed over Space and Time? It is assumed the Filipina have migrated from the provinces, to benefit from the wealth and burgeoning prosperity that the capital is experiencing. The research looks at the factors involved in the migration, including classic ‘push:pull’ factors, the place of human agency in motivating the initial decision to migrate, as well as the timing of relocation and choice of destination. Frequently, what awaits such Filipina is poverty, homelessness, and with no social welfare system (Hardoy, Satterthwaite & Cairncross, 1990) the predicament is dire. If abandoned by her spouse, she has few options; prostitution, prostitute one (or more) of her children, beg, steal, or somehow, exercise entrepreneurship. This research investigates the aspirations of six Filipinas in the Kamuning Community, before and since their migration to Manila. The research is conducted within the context of the participants’ involvement in a personal development program, and mentor supported livelihood projects (i.e., micro-businesses). The research is a feminist ethnography, requiring the researcher’s involvement in intersubjective knowledge production, occurring contemporaneously with the second critical application of ethnographic methods to obtain the perceptions of the mentors.
