The team did not finish in the top three despite an excellent performance. The girls' varsity Soccer team played in the in Regional final on Wednesday and lost a hard-fought game 3-1 to Urbana HS. The football team played in the regional playoffs against Paint Branch on Friday evening. They lost 21-44 and concluded a great season. I realize that it is frustrating that we cannot respond immediately when such things go viral. However, I can assure the community that if there are real and tangible threats we would respond accordingly. Our membership drive is in full gear now! Students, parents, faculty, alumni, community members, support Perry Hall High School by joining our PTSA! Membership is only $10! By joining: students that attend driver's ed taught by Greg's Driving School will be entered into a drawing to win a $50 gift card, seniors will be eligible for the PHHS PTSA scholarships if they join by January 19, 2018, faculty members will be eligible to win a reserved parking space. Download the membership form and place the completed form, along with payment (checks preferred), in the PTSA lock box located in the main office. Or, if you prefer purchase your membership by credit card on the PHHS PTSA website (www.phhsptsa.org). If you have questions, contact [email protected]. Any student who wishes to become a PHHS PTSA member, who but cannot pay the $10 dues is able to EARN a membership. All you have to do is attend 2 monthly PTSA meetings (typically held on the 1st Tuesday of each month at 6:30PM in the school's library) and volunteer to help the PTSA for up to 8 hours. Seniors who wish to apply for the PTSA scholarship will need to complete these requirements by January 19, 2018. If so, consider Greg's Driving School, a business partner and supporter of the PHHS PTSA! The classes at PHHS are only $360 and they are held at PHHS from 2:45 to 6:00 PM!!! Greg's donates $50 to the PHHS PTSA for every student that takes driver's education classes at our high school! Students that join the PHHS PTSA are eligible to win a $50 gift card! Pop Tabs are the little tabs on soda, tuna fish cans, soup cans, etc. The money raised from the collections allows families to stay in Ronald McDonald House while a family member is undergoing treatment at a nearby hospital. Collection containers can be found in the main office, the library and room 103. Please support this great cause! __________________________________ Reflections is back! Choose a category such as art, music, dance, literature, or photography to submit original work that interprets the 2017-18 PTA Reflections theme: Within Reach . Students in all grades and of all abilities are welcome to participate. Entry forms and category rules will be in the school office by October 10th or can be downloaded here ( Rules and entry form ). Please be sure to fill out the form completely and legibly with a parent signature. You can submit your entry form and entry to the school library by November 20th. Submissions will be reviewed by experienced artists for interpretation of theme, creativity and technique. We look forward to celebrating your artistry and achievement in the arts! This year the sale will run from October 30 - November 17. Students will receive informational fliers and order forms from their science teachers. In the event that your student is not taking a science class this year, extra copies may be picked up from the science office. In addition, fruit orders may now be placed online by clicking the School Payments Online link from the Perry Hall High School website at www.perryhallhs.bcps.org . If you do not know the student's ID number, just use the student's first and last name with your 10 digit phone number. Boxes of oranges, grapefruit, mixed fruit, and a fruit sampler make great holiday gifts and are a healthy addition to anyone's diet. Sweet potatoes will continue to be offered, perfect for those holiday meals! Proceeds from the sale benefit the science department's purchase of new equipment and supplies that are not part of their annual budget. There are individual and class rewards for top sellers. The fruit is shipped directly from Riverfront Groves in Florida and must be picked up on Saturday, December 9th, between 10 AM - 3 PM at Trailer 4. Fruit that is not picked up by Dec 12 will be resold to available customers.
