Im CHARGE-Modus kann die Fahrbatterie ebenfalls aufgeladen werden, wenn keine Stromquelle zur Verfügung steht. Zusätzlich wird durch Rekuperation Energie, die beim Bremsen, Ausrollen oder Bergabfahrten entsteht, der Batterie wieder zurückgeführt. Auto- matisch oder per Knopfdruck ist der MITSUBISHI ECLIPSE CROSS PHEV rein elektrisch bis zu 45 Kilometer lokal emissionsfrei und nahezu lautlos unterwegs.
