THE WORLD HERITAGE LIST

The World Heritage List includes 788 properties forming part of the cultural and natural heritage which the World Heritage Committee considers as having outstanding universal value. These include 611 cultural, 154 natural and 23 mixed properties in 134 States Parties.

The World Heritage List is here presented in two sections: the first section details the 14 World Heritage transboundary properties that were nominated and are managed by more than one State Party. The 774 properties nominated and managed by a single State Party follow. All properties are presented in alphabetical order by State Party.

18 LIST OF WORLD HERITAGE IN DANGER As of 7 July, 2004, there were 35 properties inscribed on the List of World Heritage in Danger. The Committee shall establish, keep up to date and publish, whenever circumstances shall so require, under the title of "List of World Heritage in EGYPT Danger", a list of the property appearing in the World Heritage List for the Abu Mena conservation of which major operations are necessary and for which 2001 assistance has been requested under this Convention. This list shall ETHIOPIA contain an estimate of the cost of such operations.
