Refreshments available. Showing starts at 9.00am prompt All dogs must be kept on a short lead at all times RULES, REGULATIONS AND NOTICES 1. All exhibits must be bona fide property of the exhibitor 2. No prize money, or at the discretion of the Committee, one prize only, will be awarded in a class where there are only 2 exhibits, unless the Judge feels there is sufficient merit. Prize money not collected on show days will be forfeited. 3. The Committee reserves the right to refuse right of entry or to withhold any prize, and to disqualify any competitor for jostling, foul riding and for any act which may have interfered unduly with the progress or result of the competition. 4. The Committee has made a comprehensive assessment of all possible hazards associated with this event and taken appropriate control measures to eliminate/minimise risk to both people and animals whilst attending the show. A health and safety plan is available with the Show Secretary. All those attending this event are asked to comply with all the directional signage and any verbal instructions given by show officials. Pedestrians are obliged to keep away from any area specifically designated for horses and riders only. 5. Any exhibitor lodging an objection must first deposit £10 with the Secretary, which will be forfeited to the funds if the same is not sustained. All protests must be in writing and received within half an hour of the class. Should the objection be raised regarding the height of the pony the Committee reserves the right to have the animal measured on the show field. Should the owner or the person responsible for the said animal refuse permission for said animal to be measured, then the animal will automatically be disqualified from any further competitions for the rest of the day. 6. The decision of the Judge on all competitions and that of the Committee in cases of dispute is final, without further appeal. 7. In the case of an objection being sustained, the prize will be given to then next in merit if commended by the judges. 8. No persons (except when competing) will be allowed inside the ring under any circumstances. This rule will be strictly enforced. 9. Any person infringing the rules will be excluded from the show. 10. The Committee reserves the right to refuse entry, cancelling or altering the classes and the arrangement of the programme or of postponing the show in the event of unfavourable weather or any unforeseen circumstances. 11. Entries in the Jumping classes will be given the opportunity to jump in the order in which they are received. 12. A pony which kicks, is not properly under control, or in any way deemed unfit to ride, shall be disqualified. 13. All riders must wear protective headgear at all times and jackets when competing. 14. No refunds will be given unless horse or rider is injured. 15. Llangeinor Hunt cannot be held responsible for any accident, theft, loss or damage, howsoever caused, a rising out of or at the show. 16. Each competitor (or where applicable the parent or guardian) shall be solely responsible for consequences of loss or damage done to, or arising from, any animal and indemnify the Llangeinor hunt officials, agents, invitees, and show ground owners against all liabilities, damages, actions, claims, proceedings, costs and/or expenses in relation to or arising from his/her entries in the show. 17.     BRIDGEND COUNTY BOROUGH COUNCIL MEETING OF SPECIAL COUNCIL TUESDAY 13 TH JUNE, 2006 REPORT BY THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR - LEARNING SUBJECT: YNYSAWDRE SWIMMING POOL (BRIDGEND SWIMMING DEVELOPMENT CENTRE) 1.0 PURPOSE OF THE REPORT 1.1 To explain the circumstances which have led to a projected overspend on the budget to build a new swimming pool at Ynysawdre and seek authorisation for additional funding to allow the project to go ahead. 2.0 BACKGROUND 2.1 Previous reports to Cabinet in October 2003, March 2004, July 2005, October 2005 and a confidential report to Cabinet in November 2005 provide the detailed background to this scheme. * 2.2 Appendix ‘A’ lists in chronological order the key dates with regard to this project. 3.0 CURRENT SITUATION * 3.1 The Council has recently been advised by Limbrick Ltd, the consultant Architects the Council has employed to design and manage the development of the new pool at Ynysawdre, that the pool as currently designed will cost approximately £555,000 more than the budget available to the Council, Appendix ‘B’, the post tender analysis provided by Limbrick Ltd, provides detail and commentary showing a projected out-turn cost for the project of £4,997,778. Background 1.3 Currently in the Garw Valley as with all other areas in Bridgend, sports and community groups are considering the transfer of sports and community venues and assets from the Council, through the Community Asset Transfer (CAT) process. 1.4 Some of the assets within the Garw Valley are in a poor state of repair and well below an acceptable standard. The cost of repairing and maintaining these assets is beyond the reach of many of the sport and community groups and therefore a potential solution is being sought to ensure that sporting and community activities are not lost. 1.5 To support the CAT process, Reach has already produced a ‘Rural Community Asset Transfer Toolkit’ which provides groups with a step by step guide to asset transfer and also commissioned a report ‘Review of Sustainable Community Venues and Assets in Bridgend County Borough’, which provides a detailed understanding of the issues faced by groups who both currently are or are considering managing/owning/leasing community facilities.

    THE PARISH OF COYCHURCH REPORT to the ANNUAL VESTRY MEETING For Year Ending 31 Dec 2017 ANNUAL REPORT AND ACCOUNTS OF THE PAROCHIAL CHURCH COUNCIL FOR THE YEAR ENDED 31st DECEMBER 2017 The parish of Coychurch is in the Deanery of Bridgend, the Archdeaconry of Margam, in the Diocese of Llandaff within the Church in Wales. The Church in Wales is a province of the Anglican Communion and, as such exists to advance the Christian faith through world-wide mission. The object of the Parochial Church Council (PCC) is to ensure that the life and the work of the churches in the Parish help to fulfil that mission, both locally and more widely. The PCC is not a corporate body. Its composition, procedure and powers are regulated by the Constitution of the Church in Wales as amended from time to time by its Governing Body, as set up under section 13(1) of the Welsh Churches Act 1914. Elections are held at an Annual Vestry Meeting that must take place on or before the 30th April. All persons whose names are entered on the Electoral Roll are entitled to vote and stand for election. Before assuming office, every member of the Council must sign a declaration that he or she will be bound by the Constitution of the Church in Wales. The Representative Body of the Church in Wales (RB) holds the land and property of the Church in Wales, including those parts of St. Crallo’s Church, Coychurch, used as a Parish church, its contents and the Churchyard. The RB is an exempt Charity as set up under section 13(2) of the Welsh Churches Act 1914.

Pontycymmer Steps – the steps are now open to the public. The Clerk has arranged extra insurance cover for the steps at a cost of £113.95 per annum. The Clerk informed the Council that there is an ongoing issue with the quality of the signs provided by a local Sign-maker. The Members stated that the quality of the steps is first-class and they are delighted with the finished result.
