International Service Warren Homecoming Concert – The concert we will be sponsoring on Saturday, September 24th, as part of the Warren Homecoming weekend will Youth Service be the Ohio Players. Each year, the RI President Club selects a theme for his or her year and each Club Officers President is given a banner with that theme. Julia showed us some of the flags she has been given as President she traveled overseas and interacted with other Julia Wetstein clubs in the United States. Most, if not all, clubs President Elect Andy Bednar have their own trading banners, or flags, including the Rotary Club of Vice President Warren! Ours has the beautiful City Hall on it. Members were encouraged Roxy Vaughn to take one (or more) if they are going to be traveling and attending Secretary- another club meeting while doing so. Board Members Venita Collins Trumbull County Metro Parks Tony Iannucci Cleo Royster Paul Pal Zachary Svette, Operations Director of Trumbull Teri Surin County Metro Parks, was our speaker today and shared Kim Straniak information about one of Trumbull County’s most Nick Verina important resources. The Metro Parks System consists of seven parks open to the public and nine additional properties in various stages of development. The total area is more than 1,680 acres located in 13 of Rotary Club Trumbull County’s 35 political subdivisions. Park hours are sunrise to Foundation sunset. Board Under the Metro Parks umbrella are the Foster Metro Park, Canoe City President Metro Park, Thomas A. Swift Metro Park, Cooperation Station Off-leash Chris Shape Dog Park, Mahoning River Water Trail, Western Reserve Greenway, Vice President Clarence Darrow Metro Park, North Road Nature Preserve, and Eastlake George Metro Park. Thompson Secretary- The Metro Park system is governed by a board of Park Commissioners, Treasurer Cheryl Oblinger appointed by the Probate Court Judge, and serving staggered three-year terms. The Park budget is approximately $95,000 and has only one Julia Wetstein employee.
