Please follow the direcons of our ushers and volunteers and please be paent as we try to follow all the guidelines given to us by our Bishop and keep everyone safe! We look forward to welcoming you home! This will be my last column as pastor of this great parish. As you know, Bishop Di Marzio has appointed me the new pastor of Our Lady of Angels parish, Bayridge Brooklyn, effecve June 30. I wanted to take the opportunity to express my thanks, first to almighty God, for giving me the blessing of serving here as pastor since January 2014, and as a newly ordained priest from 2003-2008. But most of all, I wanted to express my sincerest thanks, to all of you, the wonderful people of St. Sebasan’s! If I accomplished anything here, it has been only be- cause of your support and encouragement and the kindness you have shown me over these years. I truly appreciate it! You have been a blessing to me. We have done so much together over these years! We have worked hard in making our parish first, and foremost, a place where our spiritual lives can connue to grow. Think of the number of ways we increased our devoon and prayer life as well as our study of the faith. We have worked so hard to make our parish a welcoming community to all people! We are truly blessed by the many ethnic groups that add to the life and mission of our parish! Not only have we learned to re- spect each other and the many different cultures but we have learned from each other, and that I am most proud of. I thank all the volunteers who have given so much of their me and talent to God and the people of our parish. Thank you for helping out at our many countless events and for being examples to us all. I want to thank the members of the Parish Council, Finance Council and Trustees for the advice and counsultaon over the years. I could not have done this without you.

A special word of Thanks to Brenda Vaso and Patrick Sweeney for always being so generous in taking beauful pictures at our Parish events, what a great job they have done! I want to thank the altar servers, Eucharisc Ministers, Lectors, Vestors, Ministers of Hospitality, and Altar Guild , Sacristans and Choirs for making our experience of liturgy so beauful. I want to thank Harry Connor and the staff at the Parish Center for their leadership and good work. We truly did our best for our beloved Parish Center. I thank our principal Michelle Picarello, our former principal, Joann Dolan, faculty and staff for their leadership in our Catholic Academy. I want to thank Peggy Baxter, the chair of our board, and all the members for looking over so diligently over the Academy. I wish to thank all those involved in CYO for giving of their me to our children. The parish staff has truly become my family! The staff here are so talented and dedicated to the mission of our parish. Its been a joy and an honor working with each of you over the years. I have learned so much from you. Rebecca Newman-Mahoney, our Director of Religious Educaon, has done an exceponal job with our Religious Educaon, especially during these months of shut down. Rebecca has worked hard in making sure Religious Educaon was sll being taught at this me. A special thanks to the assistant to the DRE, Marcella, for the support and the work done for our pro- gram, as well to the wonderful cathechists for sharing the faith with children. I thank our receponists, housekeeper, maintenance man, Sacristan, especially Tommy McMahon, Bryan our organist, Chrisna our youth minister, Sally our Pastoral outreach per- son, with her volunteer for everything! In a special way, I need to thank my wonderful administrave assistant, Alma Mendez, who is the best assistant a pastor can have. Alma has gone over and beyond the call to duty, espe- cially during the month we were shutdown, working from home and keeping everything in order. Alma kept the rectory and me in order and I thank her for the excellent work.

I want to thank Quirino Gregorio and the ladies who helped him to count the money over the years. Please know how grateful I am for your giving of your me and helping count the money so faithfully each week. And finally, a special word of thanks to my brother priests and all the priests I have worked with over these years. Thank you for your priesthood and serving God’s people so very well. We welcome Fr. Pat West and pray that he will have many happy years as I have had at St. Sebasan’s. I hope to come back in the fall to celebrate a mass of thanksgiving for my wonderful expe- rience here. I apologize if I le anyone out. Its never my intenon. I ask forgiveness for any- one I have offended over the years. I am truly sorry. So I won’t say goodbye, I will say See you soon and thanks for the adventure of a lifeme! I love you all! Fr. Kevin
