We look forward to welcoming you home! This will be my last column as pastor of this great parish. As you know, Bishop Di Marzio has appointed me the new pastor of Our Lady of Angels parish, Bayridge Brooklyn, effecve June 30. I wanted to take the opportunity to express my thanks, first to almighty God, for giving me the blessing of serving here as pastor since January 2014, and as a newly ordained priest from 2003-2008. But most of all, I wanted to express my sincerest thanks, to all of you, the wonderful people of St. Sebasan’s! If I accomplished anything here, it has been only be- cause of your support and encouragement and the kindness you have shown me over these years. I truly appreciate it! You have been a blessing to me. We have done so much together over these years! We have worked hard in making our parish first, and foremost, a place where our spiritual lives can connue to grow. Think of the number of ways we increased our devoon and prayer life as well as our study of the faith. We have worked so hard to make our parish a welcoming community to all people! We are truly blessed by the many ethnic groups that add to the life and mission of our parish! Not only have we learned to re- spect each other and the many different cultures but we have learned from each other, and that I am most proud of. I thank all the volunteers who have given so much of their me and talent to God and the people of our parish. Thank you for helping out at our many countless events and for being examples to us all. I want to thank the members of the Parish Council, Finance Council and Trustees for the advice and counsultaon over the years. I could not have done this without you. A special word of Thanks to Brenda Vaso and Patrick Sweeney for always being so generous in taking beauful pictures at our Parish events, what a great job they have done! I want to thank the altar servers, Eucharisc Ministers, Lectors, Vestors, Ministers of Hospitality, and Altar Guild , Sacristans and Choirs for making our experience of liturgy so beauful. I want to thank Harry Connor and the staff at the Parish Center for their leadership and good work. We truly did our best for our beloved Parish Center.
