COVID­19 Vaccine Update ‒ What You Need To Know by Stephen Crawford, MPP Oakville Ontario is leading the country in the total number of vaccines administered and has fully immunized more individuals than all provinces and territories combined.

The Ontario government is ready to rollout Phase Two of its COVID-19 vaccine distribution plan, focusing on older adults, those at risk of serious illness and hot spot areas. With vac- cine supply stabilizing and over two million doses of the COVID-19 vaccines are expected from the federal govern- ment before the end of March. Up to nine million Ontarians will be vaccinated between April 2021 and July 2021.

Starting March 15th, the province will launch an online book- ing system and a provincial customer service desk to answer questions and support appointment bookings at mass immu- nization clinics. It is anticipated that the majority of public health units will transition to the provincial booking system after it has launched.
