Accredited course – Acting B.A., including an optional practical semester at Cours Florent, Paris

Diane Kruger, Audrey Tautou, Isabelle Carré and Pierre Niney - these are among others famous Graduates of Cours Florent, one of the most successful acting schools in France.

A cooperation between Cours Florent and Macromedia University of Applied Sciences makes it possible to study acting in Berlin with a state-approved bachelor‘s degree. The programme lasts 7 semesters and is accredited.

The classes take place either in German or in English at the Campus in Berlin Kreuzberg. With lecturers from the world of acting, intensive practical orientation and individual support, we prepare you to go your own way as an autonomous actress or actor in the theatre, film and television industry.

At Cours Florent we promote your talent. We train our students in a variety of ways, so that they can meet all the demands of the modern acting world. With the competences learned, various professional fields open up in theatre, film and television, digital media, as well as in new forms of presentation and formats. With an academic degree from the Macromedia Berlin University of Applied Sciences you can also qualify for further university studies.

The aim of the Acting B.A. is to train actresses and actors so that they are able to move in the international and German-speaking context and can flexibly apply their skills in theatre, film and television, digital media, as well as in new forms of presentation and formats, and are able to shape their professional lives confidently. PRACTICAL FOCUS

Practical relevance plays an outstanding role in training. Teaching is carried out by lecturers and professors who are active in the professional field and who are excellently networked in the world of the performing arts. The university offers a wide range of opportunities for encounters with actresses and actors, directors, dramaturges, organisers, casters and many others in Berlin‘s theatre and cultural landscape. The programme places great value on practical experience in production contexts and supports students in their search for internships. The training imparts know-how in self-management, self-marketing and media competence (social media, e-casting, showreel) in order to present oneself professionally in the acting industry.

NETWORK

The cooperation with the renowned Cours Florent Paris with an international degree course and further locations in Montpellier, Bordeaux and Brussels guarantees a high degree of international exchange. Among other things, internship semesters in Paris and international cooperation projects are possible.

COURS FLORENT IN BERLIN

The network – or, more aptly, the community – of Cours Florent has continued to expand, increasingly in the direction of Berlin in recent years. Berlin is as colourful as it is big, and it inspires an ever-growing scene for artists and actors. This diversity, coupled with the expansion of the Cours Florent network, led to the launch of the Acting B.A. in Berlin.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

A high school leaving or college certificate formally qualifies you to enroll in this B.A. course. However, you will also need to have successfully completed the acting workshop or (online) audition prior to admission. What if you don’t have the right formal qualifications? Applicants who are particularly talented will be considered for admission with a regular school leaving certificate. This special exemption is dependent on your outstanding performance during the acting course or audition.
