The surveys were carried out to assess the health of the river and enable successful management of our principal fisheries. All other sites covered in this report are intended for the purpose of monitoring all fish populations. • 15 species of fish were recorded and a total of 542 fish were captured; • Brown trout were the most widespread species, being recorded at all 5 sites; • An average total density estimate of 22.2 fish per 100m2 and biomass estimate of 1589 grams per 100m2 were recorded across all sites; • Brown trout were the most numerous species and also had the highest biomass.
