IED Master employs a system of credits that follows the structure of the European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System (ECTS). #1 IED issues its own exclusively private Master’s degrees. 2 Introduction Interior space is the place where users relate to a vehicle through a complex sensory experience that must fuse together form and function. Interior design in the automotive industry is today based on components and displays, but this is changing with the advent of autonomous vehicles, a field in which pioneering #2 brands are innovating by introducing large displays and upgradeable computers. The Master in Automotive Interior Design analyses how cars are going to adapt to this new mobility scenario and addresses design to improve user experience (UX Design) when interacting with the interior space. The programme is in response to a growing demand in the automotive sector for designers with a specific knowledge of interiors. It therefore trains professionals who can provide innovative solutions for the morphology of interior spaces and user experiences in terms of connectivity, sustainability, new materials and personalisation. The IED Barcelona Escola Superior de Disseny has been teaching courses related to transport since 2002 in partnership with leading companies in the automotive industry.
