Area Summary Sudbourne is a small village and parish on the coast, just south of and to the north of its neighbour Orford in . The village of Sudbourne sits a couple of miles inland but the borders of the parish extend to the coastline. The village has a few community assets of its own which is complimented by its proximity to places like Orford and Aldeburgh. The area retains both a parish church, and a Baptist church that works in partnership with neighbouring Tunstall. Sudbourne also has a village hall that plays host to a number of local groups and events. The parish of Sudbourne, which is within the Suffolk Coast & Heaths Area of Natural Beauty (AONB), has a number of natural assets. Towards the beach is the coastline itself, Sudbourne Marshes, the River Alde. Further inland are several areas of woodland and the remains of the Sudbourne Park estate (much of which has been converted to residential use).
