EAST FINAL: CAR vs. BOS WEST FINAL: STL vs. SJ (BOS leads 3-0) (Series tied 1-1) A Game 4 – Thursday 8 ET on NBCSN 2019 STANLEY CUP PLAYOFFS UPDATE Game 3 – Tonight 8 ET on NBCSN May 15, 2019 Today: Sharks vs Blues – Game 3 – 8pm ET on NBCSN The Blues continued their road success in these playoffs with a win in San Jose in Game 2, evening the series at one game apiece. Now the series shifts to St. Louis, where the home crowd last saw its team pull out a Game 7 double- overtime win over Dallas to advance on May 7th. ➢ In the only regular-season meeting in St. Louis this season, the Blues def. the Sharks, 4-0, on Nov. 9. • STL 3-4 at home this postseason (6-2 on the road – T-team record for most road wins in a single postseason) • SJ 2-4 on the road this postseason Jordan Binnington on Game 2: “Pretty solid game tonight. We had a good start, we were disciplined. When they tied it up, we stayed composed. That's really important, this time of year especially. We enjoyed the moment and competed hard until the end.” SJ coach Peter DeBoer on Game 2: “The story of the game was we didn't have enough participants across the board. I thought Logan Couture was pretty good, a couple of other guys ... It's tough to win this time of year if you don't have everybody going, and I thought they got contributions from everybody, like we did in the first night.” DeBoer: “The one thing I take comfort in is our character, our ability to bounce back and ability to recognize what we've got to fix it.

  • Sharks Feast with 4-0 Win Over Jets
Winnipeg Free Press https://www.winnipegfreepress.com/sports/hockey/jets/jets-lose-4-0-to-sharks-460024623.html Sharks feast with 4-0 win over Jets By: Jason Bell SAN JOSE, Calif. — The Winnipeg Jets were left smarting from a rather nasty Shark attack Saturday night — especially goalie Steve Mason. After two terrific performances late in the week, the Jets concluded a California getaway with a game that got away from them in San Jose. The Sharks built a two-goal lead after 20 minutes, withstood a strong push from the visitors in the final 40 and hung on to register a 4-0 triumph at SAP Center. It’s the first time Winnipeg has been shut out this season. The Jets might need to promote a goaltender after Mason suffered an upper-body injury in the first period — and there’s concern about a possible concussion – although either guy on the Jets’ AHL affiliate, the Manitoba Moose, looks ready if the call comes. A wicked slap shot from winger Jannik Hansen at 8:43 was the likely cause of Mason’s early exit as the blast struck him squarely in the mask. He gathered himself, stayed in for the ensuing faceoff and finished out the period, stopping 11 of 13 shots. But he was nowhere to be seen after the intermission, as Connor Hellebuyck took over to begin the second. Head coach Paul Maurice said Mason’s health will be evaluated Sunday. That will, undoubtedly, include monitoring for the effects of a possible concussion. "He stayed in (after the shot) and said he was OK after that.
