Printed in the U.S.A. DEAR PATRONS © Carter Rose Welcome to the AT&T Performing Arts Center, where we’re celebrating ten years of “Staging the Amazing.” Amazing shows like Once On This Island which won the 2018 Tony for Best Musical Revival. The original production debuted on Broadway in 1990— but I’m sure the show has never looked or sounded better than here in the incomparable Winspear Opera House. Next up in our Broadway Series is The Color Purple, followed by Blue Man Group, then The Band’s Visit, An American in Paris, Bandstand, and The SpongeBob Musical! And the AT&T Performing Arts Center is more than Broadway. We present speakers, like Captain Scott Kelly who will be here next month (January 23, 2020); family shows like PJ Masks Live! (1/20); the finest dance companies in the world with our partner TITAS/Dance Unbound, like Malandain Ballet Biarritz (2/7-8); concerts, like Il Volo (2/27); and comedy, like Jeanne Robertson (2/28). We provide stages for our five esteemed resident companies: Anita N. Martinez Ballet Folklorico, Dallas Black Dance Theatre, The Dallas Opera, Dallas Theater Center and Texas Ballet Theater. And through our Elevator Project we present the best of new and emerging Dallas arts groups. If you’ve joined us since we opened in 2009, you probably know that the AT&T Performing Arts Center is more than great shows. For many students in this community, our education programs can be the beginning of a lifetime love of culture, or even a career in the arts. Our many community engagement initiatives are introducing more people to the arts. By being a member, donor, or a patron at the Center, you’re helping us share experiences like these. Thank you for spending some of your holiday season with us. Enjoy Once On This Island and we’ll see you again soon!
