With the vision to unite the Wushu community, “Wushu Stars” was founded in 2012 to provide opportuni es for Wushu enthusiasts across the world to interact and share their Wushu experiences. “Wushu Stars” aims to promote the Chinese mar al arts through various channels so that this cultural art and sport will con nue to be prac sed and appreciated across genera ons.
The 1st Wushu Stars Championships 2020 was scheduled to be held in Singapore on December but the recent COVID-19 pandemic has prevented this physical compe on from happening. Hence, the organising commi ee has decided to bring the compe on online so that Wushu prac oners across the world can con nue to par cipate in this much an cipated global event.
The 1st Wushu Stars Championships 2020 - Online will feature events from contemporary and tradi onal Wushu. Par cipants and organisa ons may par cipate by registering and submi ng their videos online. Winners will be emerged through online vo ng and evalua on by the assessment commi ee.

B. Par cipants
1. All Wushu athletes, prac oners and enthusiasts across the world are eligible to par cipate in the 1st Wushu Stars Championships 2020 - Online. Par cipants may register to represent a federa on, associa on, academy, sport team or par cipate as individuals.

D. Age Categories
Group A 11 years old & below Born on 1 January 2009 or later. Group B 14 years old & below Born on 1 January 2006 or later. Group C 17 years old & below Born on 1 January 2003 or later. Group D 18 years old & above Born on 31 December 2002 or earlier. Group E 50 years old & above Born on 31 December 1970 or earlier.
E. Compe on Events
1. There is no limit to the number of events each par cipant may take part in.
2. Par cipants may take part in events across different age categories as long as they fall within the age range of the category. For instance, a 13 year-old par cipant may take part in events CB2. 5-Duan Daoshu from Group B and TC1. Tradi onal Changquan from Group C.
3. Internal Style Quanshu event includes styles such as Baguazhang, Bajiquan and Xingyiquan.
4. Imita on Style Style Quanshu event includes styles such as Tanglangquan (Praying Man s Fist), Yingzhaoquan (Eagle Claw Fist) and Zuiquan (Drunken Fist).
5. Tradi onal Weapon events include Internal Style Weapon Rou nes such as Baguadao and Xingyiqiang.
6. Nandu will not be assessed for all events including the 3rd Interna onal and Freestyle Rou nes as the rules and regula ons of this compe on will be conducted in accordance with the “Tradi onal Wushu Compe on Rules and Judging Methods (Trial) 2019” by the Interna onal Wushu Federa on.

G. Compe on Format
1. To par cipate in the 1st Wushu Stars Championships 2020 - Online, par cipants may register and submit their videos via Wushu Stars official website (www.wushustars.com) or email ([email protected]).
2. The submi ed videos will be uploaded onto Wushu Stars website and categorised according to the par cipants’ genders, age categories and compe on events. The results of each event will be determined by online vo ng (20%) and evalua on by the assessment commi ee (80%).
3. Viewers may vote for their favourite rou ne performances from 1 to 13 December 2020 via Wushu Stars website (www.wushustars.com). Each viewer is allowed to vote five (5) mes a day per compe on event based on IP tracking. Online vo ng accounts for 20% of the final results. To a ain the full 20% from online vo ng, the par cipant’s video has to accumulate at least
Page 8 of 12 2,000 votes by the me vo ng ends. If the video accumulated 1,200 votes, the par cipant will a ain 12% out of the maximum 20% for the online vo ng component.
4. Evalua on by the assessment commi ee will account for the remaining 80% of the final results. Unless otherwise stated within these rules and regula ons, the compe on will be conducted in accordance with the “Tradi onal Wushu Compe on Rules and Judging Methods (Trial) 2019” by the Interna onal Wushu Federa on.
H. Costumes & Weapons
1. Par cipants are required to wear compe on costumes (minimally a t-shirt, Wushu pants and covered shoes) in compliance with the Rules, and weapons used in each event shall meet the requirements stated in the Rules.
I. Video Requirements
1. In view of the COVID-19 pandemic, it is required that video recording is done safely without compromising the safety of the par cipant, videographer and members of the public.
2. The video may be recorded using a camera or smartphone and it has to be submi ed in mp4 or mov format. The recommended video resolu on is 1080p: 1920 x 1080.
3. The video has to be clear, stable and smooth, recorded one-shot with sound in a landscape orienta on. Video edi ng including accelera on and video effects are not allowed.
4. Par cipants are required to showcase the official 1st Wushu Stars Championships 2020 - Online logo at the start of each video before execu ng the rou ne. This is to verify that the videos submi ed are solely for this compe on.
5. The full body of the par cipant has to fit into the video frame throughout the en re rou ne execu on.
6. The video should not explicitly promote any brands and/or contain any offensive or sensi ve content including religious, racial, poli cal, obscene, violent or pornographic content.
7. Accompanying music, with no lyrics, may be played in the background during rou ne execu on.
8. No copyrighted materials may be used in the video unless the par cipant own the copyright or have a license to use the material for this compe on. Wri en permission must be obtained and provided upon request for all copyrighted materials.

1. Two categories of awards will be presented for each compe on event.
A. Class Awards Score Range Prizes First Class Score ≥ 9.00 The par cipant receives a Gold medal and cer ficate. Second Class 8.00 ≤ Score < 9.00 The par cipant receives a Silver medal and cer ficate. Third Class Score < 8.00 The par cipant receives a Bronze medal and cer ficate.
B. Top 3 Awards Champion The 1st placing par cipant receives a trophy and cer ficate. 1st Runner-Up The 2nd placing par cipant receives a trophy and cer ficate. 2nd Runner-Up The 3rd placing par cipant receives a trophy and cer ficate.
2. All videos of the First Class and Top 3 Award winners will be featured on Wushu Stars official website and social media pla orms.
3. Compe on events with less than 5 par cipants may be combined with other age categories and/or with events of similar characteris cs and styles. If such combina on of events is not possible and the number of par cipants is s ll less than 5, only the Class Awards will be presented for that par cular event.
4. For par cipants represen ng an organisa on, awards and cer ficates will be mailed to the address provided by the organisa on. For individual par cipants, cer ficates and awards will be mailed to the address provided.
K. Registra on Fees

Page 10 of 12 1. Par cipants may represent an organisa on to take part in the 1st Wushu Stars Championships 2020 - Online or par cipate as individuals.
2. Registra on may be done through Wushu Stars official website (www.wushustars.com) or email ([email protected]). All the fees listed are in Singapore dollars (SGD). Submi ed fees and payments made are non-refundable.
3. Each par cipant is required to register and make payment for the Par cipant Registra on Fee and the Fees for the respec ve event(s) he/she is par cipa ng.
4. For the Duilian and Group Events, all team members have to be registered par cipants. For each event, only one (1) representa ve of the team will need to submit the registra on.
5. To represent an organisa on, a team leader has to be appointed to have the organisa on registered via the Wushu Stars website (website). The team leader will be the point-of-contact between the par cipa ng organisa on and the Organising Commi ee of the 1st Wushu Stars Championships 2020 - Online.
6. All par cipa ng organisa ons will be recognised as Suppor ng Organisa ons of the 1st Wushu Stars Championships 2020 - Online. Each par cipa ng organisa on will receive a Token and Cer ficate of Apprecia on.
7. Upon the successful registra on of the organisa on, the team leader may add par cipants through the portal or send the unique organisa on par cipant registra on URL to his/her organisa on members. Par cipants represen ng an organisa on will each receive a S$5.00 discount for the Par cipant Registra on Fee, i.e. S$25.00 per par cipant.
8. The team leader may register, submit the video(s) and make payment on behalf of the organisa on par cipants or the organisa on par cipants may do so individually.
9. For bulk registra on via email, kindly send an email request for the Registra on Package to [email protected]. The completed registra on form(s), Waiver of Liabili es and video(s) must be submi ed along with full payment by 9 December 2020, Wednesday, 11:59pm (GMT+8).
10.Team leaders and par cipants will each receive a Cer ficate of Par cipa on and a limited edi on 1st Wushu Stars Championships 2020 - Online T-Shirt.
11.If amendments to the submi ed documents and/or materials are required due to incorrect or missing registra on informa on, the amendments are subject to the approval by the Organising Commi ee and a fee of S$20.00 per amendment will be charged.

1. Any appeal must be submi ed along with a fee of S$200.00 to the Jury of Appeals by 26 December 2020, Saturday, 11:59pm (GMT+8).
2. The Jury of Appeal and appeal procedures shall be subjected to the relevant provisions of the “Tradi onal Wushu Compe on Rules and Judging Methods (Trial) 2019” by the Interna onal Wushu Federa on.
M. Rights to Videos
1. By submi ng video(s) to the 1st Wushu Stars Championships 2020 - Online, par cipants grant the Organising Commi ee and Wushu Stars (jointly and severally) a worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual, exclusive right and license to copy, distribute and display the submi ed videos, in any media including pos ng in an online gallery, publica on(s) and various marke ng materials, and with right to use, copy, modify, edit and create deriva ve works therefrom, and agree to execute documents confirming such right and license at the Organising Commi ee and/or Wushu Stars reasonable request. By entering and/or permi ng your child/ward to par cipate, par cipants and/or their parents/guardians understand that their videos (or por on thereof) may be (re-)posted online, in the Organising Commi ee and/or Wushu Stars sole discre on, to be viewed by members of the general public.
