BOAR REPORT >> I felt like we hit the jackpot when this 21 litter was born. They are sired by Monumental and out of Unrated 41-5, who is a littermate to Crissman’s Reserve Cross Barrow at Fort Worth in 2012. 41-5 is out of a beautiful Alleluia sow. The sow power in this mating is unmatched at MLL. This is easily the best litter of boars we have ever produced. We retained three littermates and a fourth stands at SGI. I would like to thank Nick Berry, Tye Lettow and the whole SGI crew for their confidence in this litter. All four boars offer different strengths. The Dealer is a great balanced, upheaded and loose spined individual. He is also incredibly long hipped, smooth in his ham-loin junction and has the kind of muscle I like in a negative. This big boned boar has great toe spread, takes a huge stride off both ends and can go with comfort all day long. Some early visitors have commented on how good of a barrow this guy could have been. Everyone has ranked these differently, but this one has us looking forward to the next pig crop.
