DaveSandersonSpeaks.com [email protected] Getting to know Dave Why were you the last man off the plane on that fateful day? It wasn’t my plan to be the last passenger off the plane. My plan was to get up, get to the aisle and get out but when I heard my mother telling me to do the “right thing” in my head, I made the decision to make sure others who didn’t have the certainty that I did could get out before I made the decision to leave. Is there really such a thing as work-life balance when you are building an empire? I do believe that you can have work-life balance. The biggest change I made after the plane crash was in time management. I had a horrible work-life balance when I worked for Oracle, slanted in the work area. After the crash and when I was starting my own company, I made a concerted effort to make sure I scheduled everything around my family activities, something I learned from working with Tom Hopkins. What are the biggest mistakes business owners make? Many new business owners don’t leverage their time effectively and invest in people smarter than they are. Why did you call the book Moments Matter? I realized that all the moments I had in my life had significance during and after the plane crashed into the Hudson River. I used what I learned and trained for from my youth to that day. Who were your greatest teachers? Tony Robbins, Tom Hopkins, Dr. Brad Roof What is your favorite quote? ‘Everything happens for a reason and a purpose” What is your favorite book? “The Fourth Turning” by Strauss and Howe What’s the greatest lesson you’ve learned? It’s not about the resources you don’t have it’s about the resourcefulness you use with the resources you do have DaveSandersonSpeaks.com [email protected] Recent Presentations/Appearances: Canadian Links: BBC Miracle on the Hospitalized Survivors Miracle on the Hudson Plane crash survivor’s account Hudson Documentary: Speak: Survivor Gives Back of ‘Miracle on the Hudson’ Miracle of the Hudson Plane Crash After US Airways “Miracle on the Hudson” www.ctvnews.ca youtube.com Flight 1549 Crashed… passenger recalls how event ‘Moments Matter’ with Dave success.com changed his life’s mission Sanderson davesandersonspeaks.com/media youtube.com/ Finding Personal Growth Disabled Jet Crashes In Hudson River bttoronto.ca After a Midlife Crisis watch?v=ZDhLzk2GaWE Miracle on the Hudson Survivor cbsnews.com aarp.org On A Wing and a Prayer Dave Sanderson Celebrating the US1549 commercemagnj.com soundcloud.com “Miracle on the Hudson” The Ultimate Test Miracle on the Hudson airwaysnews.com sigmanu.pursuant6.com www.chch.com “Miracle on the Hudson” Survivor Recalls the Events of the survivor gives back Miracle on the Hudson PlaneCrash cbsnews.com globalnews.ca DaveSandersonSpeaks.com [email protected] Testimonials Brace for Impact Mindset of Resourcefulness Create your own Flight Plan Mission Focused Leadership “Dave Sanderson captivated his audience with his authentic story.
