In accordance to this mandatory day-off proposal, La Sierra University student-athletes receive the Sabbath, as a day of rest. The Sabbath is considered to be the time period from Friday sunset to Saturday sunset (a 24-hour period), and is regarded with reverence as the sign of god’s creative and redeeming power.
