Elementary Ready to Learn Initiative Iowa PBS is wrapping up its four-year Ready to Learn work with the Corporation for Public Broadcasting and PBS this month. Through the Ready To Learn Initiative, the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, PBS and local PBS stations provide free, evidence-based educational resources that help teachers, caregivers and parents build early science and literacy skills for America's children, especially those from low-income communities. To address this need, PBS and CPB have partnered to develop media-rich, multi-platform media in the form of videos, games and apps and hands-on activities by show, targeting students ages 2-8. Secondary Iowa PBS seeking Iowa science teachers to participate in phenomena cohort Iowa PBS invites all Iowa science teachers to apply to participate in a professional development cohort exploring and capturing Iowa-based science phenomena. Collaborate with teachers across the state to find, capture and share local phenomena for the Iowa Science Phenomena website. Teachers selected will earn a stipend. Relicensure and graduate credit is available..
