He earned his BS in Chemical Engineering from UC Berkeley and is currently a marketing communications specialist for KLA Instruments. His long list of impressive credits include nine years of vocal training, performances in "Once Upon A Mattress", "Jesus Christ, Superstar", 'Tomfoolery", "Cabaret", "Fantasticks", "Everything's Coming Up Sondheim", "Merrily We Roll Along", "Sunday After Dark With Sondheim", and "Have A Birthday, Mr. Sondheim", his most recent production. He enjoys books and his drums and states his life's ambition is the "life upon the wicked stage." We wish you well, Stewart, in following that 'wicked' path, but we hope you take your time so that we may enjoy your talents for a few more years!

CARA-L YNNE BERGMAN - Marian Paroo Cara-Lynne appeared in our production of "Girl Crazy" as Charity and the role of Marian is very familiar to her after having performed it ten years ago for SJCMTs production. Among her many. credits, she has played leading roles in G&S's "HMS Pinafore", "Pirates of Penzance", "Iolanthe", "Trial By Jury", "Patience", "Ruddigore", "The Gondaliers", and "Princess Ida". For SJCMT she appeared in "Cinderella", "Scrooge", "HMS Pinafore", "Bye Bye Birdie", and "Oklahoma". In addition, she has performed for the Lamplighters, Saratoga Chamber Theater, SCP and Centerstage Productions. Before she met and married Bob (Mayor Shinn), she traveled extensively with her family for World Vision International throughout the US and Central America. She even has played the Opry House Melodramas! She looks forward to someday playing Guenevere in "Camelot". With all her performing, she has also found time to do costumes, makeup and hair design in her 15years' involvement in Community Theater here in the Bay Area! We are delighted to welcome Cara-Lynne back to our stage!

SEAN T. BURGER - Marcellus Washburn Our regular audience members will remember this talented young man from last season's "Guys & Dolls" when he was featured as Nicely-Nicely Johnson and his rousing rendition of "Sit Down, You're Rocking The Boat"! A native of San Jose, Sean celebrates his 20th year in show business this year. He earned his BA Degree in Advertising at SJSU and has done two TV commercials and several radio spots. His favorite roles include Nicely- Nicely (of course), Charlie in "You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown", the Cowardly Lion in "Wizard Of Oz" and Marryin' Sam in "Li'l Abner". His main ambitions are to be successfully self-employed and to play Pseudolus in "A Funny Thing Happend On The Way To The Forum". Just wait 'til you see what happens to him on a street in River City, Iowa!

ROBERT P. BERGMAN - Mayor Shinn This will be Bob's seventh production with WVLO, his most memorable was Sancho Panza in "Man Of La Mancha", but his other leading roles were in "Girl Crazy", "Oklahoma", "Pajama Game", "Good News" and "Perfectly Frank". His most recent stage appearance was at the Opry House in the old-fashioned melodrama! A native of Libya, Bob has lived in the Santa Clara Valley since 1968 and is a graduate of Santa Clara University Law School. Bob has worked with the Saratoga Chamber Theater, G & S, CAST, SCP, SJMTand the Foothill Summer Theater. Bob is an attorney and his practice emphasizes estate planning, probate, real estate, corporate and personal injury law. He is married to Cara-Lynne, has several cats and is an avid miniature wargaming hobbiest. If you need a singing attorney, Bob is your man and I'm sure he has plenty of his business cards to hand out! DEE DEE HEALY - Eulalie Mackecknie Shinn This marks Dee Dee's third production with WVLO; our 'regulars' will remember her as "Irene" and as Ado Annie in "Oklahoma", both memorable performances. Not only is she a talented and versatile performer, she is also an experienced costumer, her 'other' role in this production. Her credits include 16years of performing in the Bay Area, beginning with her first appearance in "U'I Abner" in 1974to her most recent performance as Lola in "Damn Yankees" at SJ City College. She has also played Annie in "Annie Get Your Gun" and Millie in "Seven Brides for Seven Brothers" for SDG and Sweet Sue in SCP's production of "Sugar". Her family consists of her Director husband, John, and their two 'children', a Boxer named Audrey and a Schnauzer named Ebeneezer. Dee Dee works for Valid in Human Resources and says her hobbies are costuming, shopping at Nordstroms and Victorian houses. Her life's ambition is to play Dorothy in "The Wizard Of Oz"!' (Hint' Hint!) No need to ask who her "White Knight" is -- since he has spent so much time in white casts lately -- none other than her hubby, John' Glad to have you back, Dee Dee!

JOHN R. TRALONGO - Charlie Cowell A native of Santa Clara, has been involved in Community Theater since 1971. His first musical wasdirected by John Healy. John has performed in over 50 productions including "Oliver", "Oklahoma", "Guys & Dolls", and Marriot's Great America's 1981 Production of "The Music Man". Last year John earned an MBA from the College of Notre Dame. John uses his acting talents daily at Lockheed Missiles and Space Company.

MARGE HAND - Mrs, Paroo Marge just completed the role of Golde in "Fiddler On The Roof" and returns for her 24th production with WVLO. Between these two productions, she appeared as May Davenport in MVCrs "Waiting In The Wings" so she has returned to the theater with a vengeance this season, making up forthe two years she was absent from the stage while she served as Lt. Governor and Governor for Quota International's 12th District. Her involvement with this service organization which shatters silence for the hearing impaired has led to a great awareness for more hearing conservation on the part of our youngsters, and for more facilities and devices for the hearing impaired so that they, too, can enjoy productions like this one. Her long list of theatrical credits include her favorite roles; Elizabeth Barret Browning, Dolly Levi, Nellie Cohan, Aunt Eller, Mama Rose and Geraldine O'Dare. Marge performs regularly with Mystery By Design and is a self-employed Computer Services Contractor. She and husband, Ed, her biggest supporter, have three daughters and one darling granddaughter, so she keeps busy with many projects. Since she's half Irish, she says Mrs. Paroo's brogue comes naturally to her! Sure, and that's no blarney'!

HEALY-Director/Co-Producer John is certainly no stranger to the Bay Area theatrical audience for he has been performing, directing and influencing talent here all his life. He is best known as the Founder of the San Jose Childrens Musical Theater in 1969 and its Executive Director for 15 years and the Founder/Director of the Gilbert & Sullivan Society in 1973. As a professional cellist in the San Jose Symphony for five years, he was the youngest musician to have a full-time seat at the age of 15. He has directed over 200 productions, with children, community theater and professional theater as well. He has worked as Director, Music Director, Choreographer, Stage Manager, Designer and Technician and currently heads the Performing Arts Dept. at Abraham Lincoln Performing Arts High School, Arts Magnet of San Jose Unified. This is John's third directorial position with WVLO, but performed leading roles in four of our productions, including "Anything Goes", "Student Prince", "How To Succeed", and "Sweet- hearts", and was in the Association's second show, "Oklahoma" 25 years ago. He also directed "Oklahoma" in 1980 and his production of "Irene" won the ERMA award for Best Show in 1985-86. In 1976, John was named Man of the Year by the San Jose Chamber of Commerce, a well-deserved honor for all of rus accomplishments. John is "The Music Man", since this is his 8th production, directing 5, playing in the orchestra for 2 and performing Harold Hill at Marriott's Great America in 1981. He knows the whole show by heart! The highlight of his life was receiving a kidney transplant from his lovely, talented wife, Dee Dee, three years ago. He hopes to win the lottery so he can establish a professional dinner theater in San Jose. Welcome back to our staff, John. We wish you continued good health and happiness and oh yes, luck - to win the lottery!!!

DEBBIE WILSON - Choreographer It is always a pleasure to have this talented choreographer on our staff. This is her second production with WVLO, the other "Irene" in 1986. Her most recent credit on this stage was "A Chorus Line" which she directed and choreographed for SDG in 1988. Her long list of impressive credits include the 4ger Halftime shows for the past 7 years, 1989 and 1990 East-West Shrine Game Halftimes, '85 and '89 Black & White Balls in San Francisco, the 1989 American Bowl in London, '84 Olympic Opening Ceremonies and the Superbowl XIX pregame ceremonies. She just completed an assignment as Assistant Choreographer for SJCLO's "Jesus Christ, Superstar". Even though she teaches at Lincoln High School full time, she still manages to teach the dance line at SJSU and do various other bizarre spectacles and projects. She received her BA Degreefrom SJSU in Theater Arts/Dance and has also studied in Los Angeles and New York. Debbie is a marvelous performer as well, but if you want to know just how many shows she has actually done, you will have to ask her mother! Would you believe this talented lady began her career at the age of 4as a skunk dancing to "Wouldn't You Like Me For Your Very Own?" You can call her "Flower" if you want to. We're very glad she grew up to be such a beautiful dancer and teacher. The only time we have "Trouble" with a capital T is when we blow our dance steps or arm movements; . but we love ya, Deb. Thanks for sharing your marvelous talent with us.
