That may be reassuring for some, but we beg to differ. For TACT’s 2010/11 Season is going to be BIG. BIG Plays with BIG Ideas all featuring BIG Casts - the sort of plays you seldom THE ECCENTRICITIES OF A NIGHTINGALE get to see nowadays. We begin in October on our Mainstage at The Beckett Theatre at Theatre Row with Václav Havel’s spiky satire The Memorandum. This seminal work on bureaucracy gone mad hasn’t had a major revival in NYC since its OBIE award winning premiere in 1968. We follow this in the Spring with another HUGE comedy: the dizzy and delightful Depression-era romp Three Men on a Horse by master showmen George Abbott and John Cecil Holm. Now that’s BIG! And of course our Salon Series returns for our subscribers with four more exceptionally rare gems we’ve mined from the riches of our collective theatrical heritage. Six BIG, beautifully crafted plays that have been undeservedly lost or forgotten, yet bear BIG laughs and BIG thoughts for today’s audiences. TACT’s 2010/11 BIG Season.
