Posted: 4/25/2018 by Senior The teacher are nice and very caring. The school would be better if the teachers and Dean's weren't so lazy. The fact that a large percentage of the students are potheads, gang banger, or drug dealers is crazy. Im a Senior and I've seen students disappear from classes as the staff fails to show us why coming to school is better than selling. We are mainly poor students and have parents that can barely pay bills. We worry and stress that we can't help. The fact is selling helps some students to survive and give us money to give our parents what they wish they cold give us. Overland high school fails in showing students that education can give you the things that selling can't.

Posted: 4/14/2018 by Freshman On my personal experience, Overland is one of the most diverse, close-knit, supportive schools in Colorado. We have thousands of languages spoken at our languages and were one of the most diverse schools inside Colorado. The support and decication the teachers provide and how their always available to help you is such a great thing about Overland. Our test scores are high a lot, we have students who actually care about their education, and many programs helping students get into colleges they want and the skills they need for it.

Posted: 4/18/2017 by Senior Overland High School was a fantastic school in many different aspects. The community at Overland was very diverse and welcoming, having students with many backgrounds that made it a functioning community. The staff, teachers, and security always had the students and schools best interest in mind, making it a great learning environment. There were many different options for classes, such as regular, honors, AP, and CE classes for students of different levels. As well as different levels, the classes were inclusive to many different types of students. There were also many wonderful clubs and programs available for each student's interests whether that was Pre-med, French club, or some type of sport. Without Overland, I think I would have lacked the great education, resources, and support to succeed in high school.

Posted: 1/8/2017 by Senior Overland high school possesses many unique characteristics that make it distinguishable among secondary education facilities across the nation. It is second to none where student back ground diversity is concerned. More than fifty languages are spoken fluently with in its walls and in those languages, tales of places across the globe are shared freely. Overland also presents one of the finest advanced placement programs in Colorado. Some juniors and seniors are enrolled in five or six AP classes at once! The only major mark against it is the drug use by students. It is an epidemic that is so far out of control that school security guards and resource officers all but completely ignore it, due to its difficulty to stop.

Posted: 11/11/2016 by Senior As a Student Body Officer, Marketing President, National Honors Society Social Co Chair, and Young Life Leader, it is hard for me to be bored. My school offers a wide range of competitive and enjoyable activities, from clubs to sports. If you are a writer or a football player, there's always something for you to do. Because Overland is so diverse, I have found that the student body has been more open and accepting to everyone. I have not seen a fight the whole four years I was have been here. The teachers are great. But they are even better if you are willing and ready to work!
