Feb 6 is observed as International Day of Zero Tolerance for Female Genital Mutilation, with 2020 Theme Unleashing Youth Power. It was first introduced in 2003. 2. Jan 24 is observed as National Girl Child Day in India, initiated in 2008. It is a part of Vision 2024 of Ministry of Culture, to increase awareness about intangible cultural heritages. Intangible Cultural Heritage is representation, practice, knowledge, expression of skills. Dec 04, is observed as Indian Navy Day, being observed in commemoration of Operation Trident which celebrates bravery of Indian Navy that forced Pakistan to admit defeat during Indo-Pak war of 1971. Pakistani army attacked India on December 03, 1971. India launched 'Operation Trident' in retaliation as the result 1971 war began. India targeted Pakistani Navy headquarters in Karachi with a tremendous attack, resulting port of Karachi being completely destroyed. On this occasion, Sub-Lieutenant Shivangi became Indian Navy's first woman pilot (a front-line combat role). Indian Navy was established in 1612, when East India Company formed an army in form of the East India Company's Marine to protect its ships. It was renamed Bombay Marine in 1686. Later in 1892, it was renamed as Royal Indian Marin. Dec 04 is also Birth anniversary of Former President of India, R. Venkataraman. 33. Dec 09 is observed as International Anti-Corruption Day, marked by United Nations in 2003. 2019 Theme is United Against Corruption. Ending corruption is important to achieve Sustainable Development Goals 16 and 17. Dec 09 is also observed as International Day of Commemoration and Dignity of the Victims of the Crime of Genocide and of the Prevention of this Crime. 34. Dec 1 - Statehood day of Nagaland, formed on Dec 1, 1963. Dec 1 is also formation day of Border Security Force (BSF), border defence organisation of India. It is one of the seven Central Armed Police Forces of India, and was formed on 1 December 1965. Yearly magazine ‘Borderman’ was released on this occasion. Dec 1 is also obbserved as ‘Indigenous Faith Day’ in Arunachal Pradesh. Nov 30 is observed as Day of Remembrance for all Victims of Chemical Warfare, observed by UN since 2005. 35.
